I have a question. A long time ago my before I was an adult my dad had a set of jetskies. I remember him telling me to premix the gas even though it had an oil tank. The question is can you just premix the gas and avoid the number 1 problem with these and take out the oil tank all together?
This should be it but make sure it looks the same.. very common tach failures on these.. www.boats.net/product/yamaha/F0R-U8245-50-00?gclid=Cj0KCQjwv7L6BRDxARIsAGj-34rpkT22zKQWAeHTP9DXbF9yT8yaDfrwvFotQnyix1aMRo0YGEHo2YYaArAPEALw_wcB
Brother I have problems with my ls2000 I’m sure you’ve seen this problem check both engine compression 120psi on the hose engine sound great once under load/water both engine won’t even rev. Did the carbs two years ago .
Open the carbs again.. fuel filter? Fuel quality? Spark and spark plug wire ends at spark plug ok? Battery charging system? We actually do not work on these any longer as of 2020.. to many issues and in reliable. I hope you get it going again.
Hot Headz Marine how much did the repairs cost? Thinking about buying one of these used from a marina as a first boat. Tryin to get an idea what I’d be looking at if I ran into similar problems.
@@hotheadzmarine hey I bought LS 2000 brand new no issues what so ever till this year took to lake twice and right engin started acting up thought I had sucked something up in jet pump. But when I got it home looked around 2 oil lines came off I haven't had chance to take it back on water I put line's back on it starts up and reves up but not sure if any damage is done. But it's been a great boat IAM thinking of selling it.
Really appreciate you guys uploading this video, I have a exciter 270 and have just rebuilt the carbs, can you remember what ideal temperature you would expect for cylinder head and exhaust? If one cylinder was a little hotter would you run that carb a little richer to bring down the temp?

I bought my 2001 LS2000 back in 2015, the first thing I did was converted it to pre-mix. I have only had to replaced batteries (I have a switch and aux battery for audio) and a bendix gear on the port side motor. I have not had any other issues with mine. Be sure to spray some fogging oil in it when you winterize and keep everything lubricated and hopefully you will get as much fun out of your's that I have mine.
Love hearing two triples harmonizing
Sweet Sound isnt it. I Love this stuff.
@@hotheadzmarinewhere you got tachometer and speedometer for this boat?
I need a mechanic like you!!
The kindness of the few outweigh the negativity of the few. God Bless you🙏🏼🙏🏼🏁🏁

@@jonathanmoody9310 We and most shops are no longer servicing 2 stroke jet ski engines, I would stay away from it.

I would try that yes.
where are you guys located, i need my boat engines worked on.
What tachometers are in the dash
OEM
Any video of throttle cables
NO , I'm sorry. We do not work on 2 stroke skis or 2 stoke jet boats anymore.
i would love to bring my 2002 lx to you guys to adjust
Thats very kind however.. We no longer work on 2 stroke jet ski engines.
@@hotheadzmarine What lead to that decision? Is it hard to make money repairing them because they can turn into a time sink?
@@TheStephenspann27 it's not really repairing any longer. It's restoring. Quality Parts are also a huge factor.
How much did this rebuild cost?
I have a 2002 LS 2000
Can you fix it?
Please
we no longer work on those I am sorry
@@hotheadzmarine do you know which is the correct kit to repair the carburetors?
Should I buy Yamaha xr1800 2001. For 12k. Is it going to give me problems?
I would not. No one including us will work on them any longer. To many problems and very unreliable.
