Wish the 3rd row could slide back more. Trading some of that cargo space for more leg room would really improve quality of life.

Thanks for the video, but how usable is 3d row?

How do access the third row from the second?

Those headrests from 3rd row definitely need to be retrofitted to the gas version Outlander.
Also, with gas version you atleast still have a possibility of sliding a spare underneath the seats, not so much on thw PHEV

Thanks again for another great review. Do you know if the 3rd row seats can be completely removed (easily), as we won't likely be using them and they look pretty heavy to be driving around with all the time?

Agreed, that 3rd row really eats into cargo depth, wish they could be removed.

It's virtually useless imo. Even for kids.

Split seats allow way more flexibility for carrying 6 and more storage. This is a deal breaker on the PHEV.

Thank you for this review! I have a 2014 outlander and was looking into the 2023 phev but man I am shocked at how much the price has gone up! The mitsu phev is more or equal to the phev Honda and Toyotas! I appreciated the fact that the mitsu used to be more budget friendly but now I may just explore other options as the closest mitsu dealership just closed and the next is an HR and half away. Thanks again for the review!

How to remove 3rd row completely? We never use it in PHEV 2024. Do we have to bring it to mechanic or it is removable easy way?

It's doable. Your local service should be able to handle your request. From what I looked into it a while ago, it wasn't all that expensive.

I used the 3rd row couple of times in my outlander n I love the space when I do Instacart n I don’t have any problem putting up or down the 3rd row

Is the space for legs is the same for the two models?

Whats the PHEV battery warranty in relation to battery capacity at end of warranty? Ford and Kia state 70%. I can't find that in the warranty for Mitsubishi.

Can you find out how one can take the 3rd row seats out of the Outlander PHEV to have more cargo space? In Asia the cars can be bought as 5 seaters, so it should be straightforward to just remove those seats, however, I have heard that there are some issues, because the seats are connected to some alarms. There are a lot of new Outlander PHEV owners who are interested in such option, because they do not need the 3rd row and one cannot buy the car without it. Moreover, there is no point of tossing around so much weight if one knows that those seats will never be used anyway.

Not sure how to do it but I'm sure it can be done.

Thanks for the comparison video, I was wondering what are the dimensions behind the 2nd row in inches, so hard to find that info anywhere I saw a dimension video for the regular Outlander but not the PHEV

I'd trade the 3rd row seats for a spare.

I traded my 2022 for a 2023 and I wish the third row was split like it was in my 2022.. My only complaint. Because my main reason for trading was for access to the battery with the 2 1500 watt 120 volt outlets. Used for camping, and power outages.

If I request it, will a dealer, for a fee, unbolt the 2023 OL 3rd row bench for me to place in storage?

👍👍I like both third row seats but I like the idea of having my space saver spare in my gas version SEL. 👍👍👍👍 As always great video with lots of helpful info ! ! ! ! !

I SIMPLY DON'T UNDERSTAND about the third row , no adults can sit there comfortably, If i can forsake few cargo space then 2 adults could have sat comfortably with adequate leg spaces!!!
