Cirith Ungol really opened up my mind from strictly early punk to heavy metal old rock progressive speed thrash crust ect . And this was in the EARLY 2000 really a timeless band

I like it they stayed underground, too bad Metallica didn't stay underground maybe they'd have stayed true to their original sound, heavy metal is not supposed to be popular music. Imagine if Metallica never got popular what kind of music they'd be doing now,for one Cliff Burton would probably still be alive because they wouldn't have been touring as much,I know that's a big maybe but they'd probably still be a hungry band, rock bands are like boxers,when you start making good money and get civilized your skills and talent suffer.IMO
