My mother, sister and I took a tour inside the White House in Washington DC shortly after Mrs. Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy gave her well documented and televised tour of the White House in 1962. I was roughly only 5 year's old at that time. I somewhat remember it vaguely. My family lived outside of Washington DC at the time. When my father was stationed in the Pentagon at that time.
I’ve never visited Washington DC so I’ve never been to the White House . I’m born and raised in Canada and since about age 11 or 12 years old have long been fascinated and interested in the History of US Presidents and the First Ladies as well as the long history of The White House and it’s archectecture , renovations and furnishings and overall function . Such an elegant and regal residence.
Chapter 2 is confusing. You're talking about the White House and then segue to the Capitol and then back to the White house all while showing the W.H. Huh? Well at least we know where Baby Donnie Bone Spurs ran and cowered when someone would hurt his childish feelings. I do wish that when they were removed under Teddy Roosevelt, that the Tiffany screens were preserved rather than destroyed. Can you imagine what they would be worth now??
Thank God President & Mrs. Trump changed all the horrid decor Michael Obama put into our historic home! That crap hopefully went to the rubbish pile! Ugh classless and tasteless!
I respectfully disagree. I loved what Michelle did and hated when Melania tore out all those rose bushes that had been there for decades. I mean, when it comes to taste remember what Melania did at Christmas with those horrid red trees. 🤣
COMMENT: Have you visited Washington, D.C. and the White House - and what are your favorite aspects of the structure’s architecture?
Fascinating brief history. I never visited the White House, and I would love to see it.
I've stood outside the gates, but I was never able to get in it.

Haha! Liked this comment. Agree about the Tiffany screens.

The Trumps were a disgrace to the White House and America. They will never live there again.
