- A video of the Heartbreak secret on Saint in the new Rain World DLC. Major spoilers.
How it works:
Step 1: Wireframe Summoning
In order to begin the secret, you'll need to go to R_16 in Rubicon as Saint with a maximum karma of 10, then head right and up until you reach LAYERS_OF_REALITY.
Once there, you should notice the Zuish numbers at the bottom, which are in the same order as the Tome pages from Fez, and which was used in a deconfirmed answer to the Monolith puzzle.
Reordering the digits of Rain World's release date in the same way as this post did (gaming.stackexchange.com/a/12..., we get the sequence 3021872.
Translating this to Zuish and rotating the text 90 degrees to the right gets us the sequence down, any, any of up left right, right, down, ascension, left, which we can treat as screen directions, or using an ascension in the case of 0.
Step 2: Fez Heartbreak Check
In order for anything to happen after you do that series of inputs though, you must have a Fez save that has completed heartbreak "ending", which if you haven't played means doing absolutely everything.
If this requirement is met, instead of being met with a wireframe of the heart, you'll instead get the full filled in thing descending from above.
You could of course download a save from online for this, but please don't. This is really special, and if you're going to buy Fez for this, play it first! The heart will still be there after you're done.
Step 3: Heartbreak
Ascending the heart will cause a restart of Saint as normal, with the exception of the main Slugcat page - you can start a new game here, despite having the echo ending.
Trying to do the heartbreak ending on the same file won't work, you get this once and then that's it. Spend it wisely.
did you know that the people who made the music for rain world also did a track on that fez remix album ages ago? everything's connected
they did??? i can't find it on either of the remix albums
@@goldian5246 they're stylized slightly differently - as BR1GHT PR1MATE
lydia marsala and lydia esrig are the same person according to vgmdb
and C418 also worked on a remix of a FEZ song for one his albums. He remixed "Compass" from the FEZ OST, and released it as "Kompass" in his album "148"
So to reiterate: This easter egg basically flexes the fact that you have a Fez savefile on your PC with a 100% complete Fez game.
Is 100%-ing Fez really that hard? Never played it
@@animarthur5297to my knowledge Fez is a really hard puzzle game, if you're going in blind without any outside help you might even miss out like half of the entire game without even knowing it
re-ITERATE
@@didntmeantokillemtwasaaccident without help you basically cant beat it as one of the red cube collectables you need for 100% is the monolith puzzle (in which this room is in reference to) and after over 12 whole years of searching have still not found the correct solution and have only managed to do it by brute force so yeah doing a blind 100% of fez is basically impossible
An indie game with an Easter egg of another indie game...
RESPECT
I was wondering what this room was for! I found it in my casual playthrough and couldn't figure out why there was a secret room with nothing in it
This is Saint finally escaping the infinite cycle of her own and finally being able to system reinstall the entire world
Saint...
Finally fulfilled their goal.
They ascended everything.
...huh. Been a while ever since I last saw that heart...
yeah. and it's still unsolved
All 64 cubes.
2 artifacts.
3 heart pieces.
Spin the artifacts in a order and be one of the witnesses.
Now that you can bring the FEZ heart into Rain World, another indie game should do a puzzle with elements from those two games and so on and so forth like a chain. You need 100% on the other games before you can solve the puzzle each time.
I almost 100% fe back in the day.... With a guide obviously. The only thing I missed was the puzzle that you had to do in an specific date at an specific time
solution: callendar editing/changing
Ah yes the Fez clock
Excuse me there’s a FEZ EASTER EGG IN DOWNPOUR??
This is amazing!
Thank you for making the solution easier to access by sharing it on youtube! there are those who worked really hard to solve this puzzle.
Am I correct in reading between the lines that you think it's wrong for people to be able to experience this without doing the work? Well, I have news for you: if it wasn't posted for that reason, it would be posted in somebody's playthrough, or somebody's easter egg roundup, or somebody's rain world guide... point is, people should be allowed to see everything a game has to offer without playing it. That's what so much of RUclips is built off of.
@@AcidArmy_ it wasn't sarasm
@@narrator5953 I still can’t tell what your point was lol
@@AcidArmy_ they just said thanks, that's it. They said that thanks bc it requires a lot of work to get and it's not widely available. There's no subtext to it
@@narrator5953 in his defense, the "by sharing it on RUclips" and the rest sounds really unnecessary.
The former of it is more than enough.
So by you adding more detailing to your comments, it makes it sounds like you're trying to make a big deal of it.
this is so heartbreaking
omg fez reference
thats so cool
I love this! I wonder if Phil knows
To be honest I don’t think he would care
@@DoomerSlice Either not care or ask for royalties for referencing the game XD
Huh so that's where the 3 red cubes from fez went after breaking
I love the detail of the Monolith being in the background
congrats on the solution!!
gomez = slugcat species confirmed ?
I've played all the way through FEZ multiple times, but only on PS3 ages ago, not on Steam...
Woah…3D cubic spinning model in rainworld was unexpected, but an interesting surprise!! This is so interesting…wow what is this for 👀✨? The iterators? Just an easter egg? I like this 👁👁💖💕
Wy so moji ?
This is an easter egg to the game Fez
dont't like the emoj
Heartbreak... one of most deepest concern 💞
Kinda reminded me of celeste smh
I was messing around, warping to different rooms with warpmenu when i found out about this room
didnt think much about it but thought it was neat, then i went through the pipe and thought i broke the game (i teleported to here in spearmaster's campaign)
its cool to see it has an actual use
I saw this on accident as saint bc i was spamming things in layers of reality since i didn't have any idea how it worked and then this THING showed up
Read the goddamn description before asking anything guys omfg
I was wondering what the deal was with that room. Couldn't find anything online about it after the ending to saint had nothing to do with it.
oh god i barely remember fez! although i had it on the xbox 360.
well it's not like i'm ever gonna reach rubicon any time soon
That's some creepy pasta type shit right there
FEZ! FEZ! FEZ! FEZ! FEZ! FEZ! FEZ! FEZ! FEZ! FEZ! FEZ!
My brain is exploding
Fez is such a classic man
I wish I could beat it but my brain is to small "-_-)
I always somehow end up back at Fez no matter where i go on the internet
fez
I tried this out and i got the heart outline but couldn’t get it filled in with cubes…
FEZ MENTIONED FEZ MENTIONED FEZ MENTIONED OH MY GOODNESS IM SO STARVED FOR FEZ CONTENT YIPPEE
Actual question about this, i got the game, 209.8%ed it, and now i cant get into the room in Rubicon, anyone have any idea as to why? Its just that when i try to enter the room, my stupid saint gets stuck in the entrance
YOOO I LOVE FEZ
Hold it i just had a ...... bruh moment
So, why ascend yourself when you can just ascend the whole timeline’s heart itself?
I'm sorry, but I don't understand what to do if my heart is empty?
you have to get the 3 red cubes on FEZ to get the heart, then you simply just come back here, i think.
WHAT
Sucks that Saint became an echo, anyways-
FEZ
FEZ
FEZ
FEZ
FEZ
I don't get it, i guess it's suposes to reference something
it's strange but it doesn't work for me. Help with this problem please
you need to 100% FEZ and get the hearts ending
@@mrbartinio what's fez
@@jetexodia6382 a game that is almost 10 years old
@@jetexodia6382 extremely good indie game
@@jetexodia6382as other comment said it a great indie game but btw dont feel bad about looking up help as there are some insanely hard puzzles and one puzzle that no one has legitimaly solved without brute force done by the community for 12 years now
wher Gomes????
Is... is this real?
yeah
this can’t be real
@@funnydotyes it is
IS DEAD 😭
What is fez?
Do you get anything special for it?
Does it have anything to do with the game Celeste?
no its a reference to fez
IS THAT A CELESTE REFRENCE???
No, this is Patrick!
Accually, it's a refference to a video game named "FEZ"
Omg celeste reference: maybe sj will be in here soon
