Man you’re riding the piss out of that thing! Clearly better in the corners than the other riders, you carry so much more speed coming in and throughout the turn. Very cool
Jason Smith maybe I’m just a noob but your better off carrying less speed in a 1000 into a corner & stand the bike up as soon as possible to sling shot out the corner. Where in smaller bikes it’s better to carry higher speed into the corner since they can’t just shot out like a 1000 can. I ride both a 600 & a 1000 & I’m sure both can carry the same corner speed but it’s better to come in slow on the 1000 & stand the bike up as quickly as I can
ZX10R Ant maybe but this dude is another level rider than the other guys on the track with him that day. Put em all on the same bike and he’ll lap em eventually
Jason Smith you think so the zx10r dude look decent. I would imagine it’s easier to push the smaller bikes to the limit & are more confident inspiring . Not saying he’s not better rider but the guy on the liter bike wasn’t slow . I wouldn’t be surprised if the pilot of the r3 gets better lap times on his r3 than he does when rides a super bike or a 600cc on certain tracks.
I love the approach to this build. Make modification X, if it doesn't work admit it and try something else that does work. I'm certain the end result will be a fantastic setup.

You don’t want corner speed on a liter bike you wants to turn as fast as possible so you can put the power down unlike 600cc and lower you want to hold on to more speed into and out of a curve and carry the curve longer. Yea with a liter bike you just want to point and shoot as fast as possible so your not waist I g time in corners.

The line difference of the smaller bike (R3) and bigger bike is clearly seen. This track is smaller bike friendly with the arcs and turns very friendly towards smaller bikes than bigger bikes. But great ride man. Couple of close calls, if it was a race, I can see the rider being more aggressive on the curves and overtaking the bigger bikes.
Canepa has the track record there currently at 1:12 and change on a 1100cc SB. I have done 18 flats there on 2015 R1 in SS trim. We were riding a 24 pace...much slower. Anyway, this was not really meant to put down anyone's riding style/abilities...just to illustrate our bike's capabilities and how much fun we have with little bikes. @@TSTindustries I just pointed out the line difference it takes for the bigger bikes and smaller bikes. Heavier bikes with bigger power will require a different line on the turns. I would like to point out that an orange t-shirt or meatball shirt, designates a first time track day rider or a newbie. Easily spotted by aggressive left hand corners and loads of hesitation in right hand ones.
Actually the shirt over the suit designates a rider coach in the organizations we have in Florida. The sessions I was riding in were Advanced. This organization separates riders into Novice, Intermediate, Advanced categories.
This remember me 10 years ago, I use to take my 92 golf Gti 16v 2.0 134hp but very light and just with the suspension upgraded, and was able to beat the mustangs 5.0 in the corners at willow springs race track, just like you did in the R3 vs the Liter bikes! @TST - Yup, seen it, he's fast, but that is a twin, a little easier engine pulse. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty fast guys that raced 1000cc at Jennings, but either way I still stand by my statement that Jennings is not a Superstock/Superbike 1000cc track. Great for 600cc and GP bikes though.
Can confirm. I take my S1000RR to Jennings and have a blast, but also wish I had a 600. I usually rock upper 1:20's for lap times, but pretty sure I'd be faster on a 600 there. Not to mention the difference in fatigue from a 600 to a liter bike at that track.
Omfg....That was sooooo satisfying to watch. AMAZING Riding unbelievable how you kept up and passed the bigger bikes. I'm absolutely blown away at the riding skill.
Nice riding, love the R3, yesterdays ride with mid range and litre bikes proved to me HP ain't everything. Me and a mid ranged Ducati were first to the lights on a 65km trek, litre bikes 2 minutes behind. Love my ZZR1100, but the R3 tickles my perfectionism.
Front brake system: Brembo master cylinder, core moto brake line, stock caliper, Vesrah racing pads, brembo floating rotor. Sprockets and chain are 415 size and we have a bunch of diferent sizes to accommodate different environments.
TSTindustries sprocket 17-53 , 18-55,56,57 speed or acceleration (for tracked tracks). The top speed measured?. How many octane do you use gasoline. 95-97-98....?. Thank you for the answers.
Nah, that CR is not from N2. They don't do any events at Jennings. That was a FSUPD shirt. They have a state sponsored program that takes people off the streets and gets them on track to reduce street huliganism.
That was so fun to watch. That thing has some serious cornering grip and you can definitely ride!! I'm local to South Florida but don't recognize that track? Would love to book a track day there. Definitely different from WPB and HMS. Anyways keep up the great work!! And side note - waiting on those fz09 turn signals lol :)
That track is in Jennings. Exit 267 on the 75, just before the Georgia border. It is a fun track, but be ready to tear up some tires. The pavement is pretty rough. Hope to see you at one of these tracks one day. Come say hello when you see us.
to me this doesn't show that the r3 is a better track bike it only shows that the rider of the r3 is a better rider then the people on the higher cc bikes. but cool work you guys have done to an r3, as a person wanting to get an r3 for track fun this gives me something to look forward too :D
The purpose of this build isn't to show that the R3 is a better bike, but to demonstrate that the R3 can be just as capable as its larger counterparts.
I'm so torn between an R6 and an R3 for track and racing. I'm 210lbs. I have raced a ZX6R 5 times. I feel I would learn so much on the R3, but maybe not.
Did you do anything for cooling? You guys race in the tropics on your R3 superbikes yeah? Chasing some info on how you keep it cool. I heard 150% of recommended penrite 10 ten would help?
We had heat issues along the way that is for sure. Switching back and forth between cooling agents didn't work, ultimately water with additive to raise the boiling point along with keeping higher coolant pressure won out. But still we had heat problems and had to make compromises. Finally we got onboard with the Febir extended radiator and then we started managing the heat well. I tried to devise an oil cooling system before that because keeping the oil cool helps extend it's life and also we take a two vector approach to cooling parts, which would be better . The packaging and plumbing of such a system and maintaining proper oil pressure in critical areas proved to be very difficult.
We are trying to figure out a new engine blueprint that will transfer power higher in the RPMs. These R3s peak out way before redline and then drop off drastically. We haven't found a setup that takes advantage of higher RPMs yet.
The zx ate your lunch on the straights but it didn’t hold any water on the corners and corner speed. He didn’t acknowledge you at all.. you had to slow down on several occasions so you didn’t collide with his selfish ass! Great work great riding!
Oh man, Jason on the ZX was not selfish.....he was giving me good work. It is the responsibility of the rider behind to get a safe pass. The guy in the front has no other responsibility than riding predictably and holding lines.
It fun to dog a few liter riders. But in my opinion there many factors to account for what we saw. 1)Who knows how hard the other riders are willing to go. 2)Some tracks are about keeping the momentum up and other tracks are power tracks. Eg let’s see what happens when at Road America or Atlanta. 3)Corp or business money vs weekend warrior. I don’t put a whole lot into this. We’ve all seen 600’s spank a liter bikes before on track days. Nothing new. Some ride hanging it all out there, while others are at 80%. Campaign the R3 in the upper classes and get back to me.
That's our fault. We wanted to test out this theory and it flopped. My geometry was also off. The next test will be interesting for sure. I will be racing at Roebling at the end of the month. We will see how I stack up against other 300 and 400cc bikes
I bet that zx10r was like, is that an r3 on my ass? LOL

Awesome skills Bart!!! I would definitely say this is a Super bike you kept up with some pretty big bikes for sure
Thanks. You should straighten out Robin Pilcher. He keeps leaving ignorant comments on this video.
Good lord you hammered that R3. Awesome work.
Right on!
That's a phenomenal rider aswel
Your cornering is awesome sir 🤙😳🔥🔥
Thanks ✌
Just awesome😍😍😍 you guys have done an amazing job 👌 felt good to see a 300 beat the big boys in corners😆
Thanks.
Great work everyone. I hope to see more improvement on the next episode 👍🏻
incredible, super cornerings.
I look forward to next week's episode.
what do you use the brake system and the sprockets.
I enjoy watching you.
Do you take your MT-03 to the track?
BritishColombian - It's 250cc now. I'm saving money. cause in the future.
Damnn, being able to hang with a zx10 like that is insane !! Props to you guys
Thank you. It wasn't easy. Definitely made me work for it.
The BN6 R6 overtook the ZX10R. This makes me happy.
The R3 is a stunning performer though.
Doing some damage with that R3! Awesome video!
It's a fun bike
Dayum that liter bike was parking it on the corners compared to the R3.
Was that an N2 logo on at CR's shirt?
Awesome Bike and riding. Keep up the good work!!!
Nah, that CR is not from N2. They don't do any events at Jennings. That was a FSUPD shirt. They have a state sponsored program that takes people off the streets and gets them on track to reduce street huliganism.
Damn dude you were killin it out there on the track with that R3 SB!
oh boy, he take dem cornerz!
This thing is an animal in the corners!
Yep
Thanks for reminding me I dont need to shell out for an r7
But two bikes is more fun than one....
In regards to the FZ signals...you will get some good news later this week.
Ultimate skills crazy guy on Yamaha R3
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Nice view at the end
You gave the Kawasaki guy a heart attack!!!
Oh, he was fine.
U r track skills loveable
Thank you. This bike is very fun and easy to ride, and I think that comes through in this video.
Bro ur driving skill is lit god bless!
Awesome build guys, whats the Top speed its touching???
just above 120
Great riding skills! Proven again, it's not what you ride ... Jennings GP, my favorite Track :)
to me this doesn't show that the r3 is a better track bike it only shows that the rider of the r3 is a better rider then the people on the higher cc bikes. but cool work you guys have done to an r3, as a person wanting to get an r3 for track fun this gives me something to look forward too :D
The purpose of this build isn't to show that the R3 is a better bike, but to demonstrate that the R3 can be just as capable as its larger counterparts.
Great Riding!!
Big improvement over the Daytona video.
This is inspirational
Very nice ride!
Are you RPM regulated? If not maybe you can rev it a bit more? Should be more power up there.
@@TSTindustries very professional of you ! Bravo! Great video, superb riding skills! Thank you for sharing your awesome video with us .
Wow, just wow. So happy to see how well its performing. I Just went wild when you pasted the Ninja haha
just imagine that you had the previous cam degree those guys would've hatted you lol great riding keep up the good work!
That's our fault. We wanted to test out this theory and it flopped. My geometry was also off. The next test will be interesting for sure. I will be racing at Roebling at the end of the month. We will see how I stack up against other 300 and 400cc bikes
He can ride for sure
That is great, just Fn great. that is some awesome riding dude, have fun with it .... got an RC 390 set up haven't made it to the track yet..
