This show was just sad and pointless... I'm a Polish person, not that it means much, but watching one of our greatest cultural exports get butchered over and over again kinda hurts my soul. No matter how used I got to watching terrible media, seeing The Witcher get disrespected will always bother me.
At this point it's like comparing different kinds of excruciating pain. Is having all of your bones broken worse than having your intestines ripped out? I don't know and I don't intend to torture myself with any further thought on the subject. The whole Witcher endeavour by Netflix has been horrendous, perhaps as much as the Rings of Power.
You really think they’d make a spin-off show on Lambert? Them. Netflix. Making a show about Lambert where he is the main lead? If you really think this, you haven’t been paying attention. I’m sorry for being harsh.
It was so cliche, generic & predictable ... It feels like someone wrote a machine learning system and told it: "make cash with witcher brand, take no risks, go all out cheese mode"
i just watched the show start to finish. I tried to watch it a few months ago, and i just couldn't get into it. When it finished, idk how to explain how i felt lol. "what?" might be the closest. It just felt overall entirely pointless? Like it didn't need to happen at all, but also like it was rushed? My overall vibe is just that it was entirely pointless. And i was annoyed at how many times they tried to shove "music/stories is/are more powerful than magic" kinda thing which was dumb. A mage being impressed with a song seemed goofy. The whole gang is like a mary sue, there was no consequences or anything that mattered at all, i don't even know why they felt the need to create this half-assed story. It was at most, a neat little fantasy short to kill a few hours, but it is ultimately completely pointless. There's no reason to get into any of the characters. I honestly didn't know the show was showing the first witcher, and after watching i still don't know how that's the intention lol? who is the first, Fjall? I got more of a Dragon Age vibe from him than a Witcher vibe. Just dumb.
I think I have read somewhere that the spinoff was created to fix the corner writers have written themselves into in season 2. That TOTALLY sparks my confidence in them.
It did deal a lot with some pretty big changes to the lore in season 2, mainly the additions of the monoliths and the Wild Hunt not being like they were in the books
@@Truthisscarierthanfiction won't matter, Witcher will be cancelled after season 3. You can bet on that, especially since this spin off fucking sucks This isn't like the anime spin off movie, which was good. This spin off was vastly worse than the second season

I've watched 2 out of 4 episodes. I liked them enough there was something that seemed off with it, even though I enjoyed the actors and their characters. I won't be able to finish the show because I'm cancelling my Netflix subscription due to other reasons. Thank you for your review. It's the best one out there as many others I've seen are just angry however long videos complaining about the actors and that promotional video that showed the reasons why to watch it. Thanks again!
You're welcome! I really do hope the actors do well because some of them haven't really been in any high profile projects before, which surprised me because I thought most of them did good. I actually checked on RUclips prior to me uploading this video and I think I was the first actual review of the show. Everyone else was complaining about other things relating to it like you said. Thank you for watching and the kind words!
I keep seeing interesting shows pop up like dragon age or even the Witcher series and I get so pumped just to see beautiful stories be absolutely demolished by them trying to push certain ideologies and shit but at one point one show has to follow its original story right 😅

I feel for you man, it's a shame that it's been done so poorly
It's worse than bad. Stay away, faaaar away.
I agree
Series Hexer (2001) is a better movie adaptation than any of Netflix Witcher like product. Special effects and CGI are but but the rest is good
They do "Blood origin" because they don't want Henry Cahill to be involved ... and now they know.
I couldn't even make it past the first half of the first episode...
That part was probably the worst of the show, so jumbled together and rushed
It's worse than season 2 and season 2 was an abomanation!

Even YT has better Witcher content. There is a fan made movie about Eskel. Its title is Alzur's Legacy. Miles better than this Witcher like product

Well yes and no. I think it would make sense, but because it's Netflix I don't think they'd do it since they seem to be allergic to good decisions

CD Projekt Red makes infinitely better content. They made not only games but also comics and manga Witcher Ronin
R Talsorrian games also makes some great Witcher tabletop RPG stuff. Not my cup of tea but the lore books are really cool
I like the witcher, but this show is boring. I didn’t care much about the characters.

also great video:)
you managed to hit all my thoughts without rambling like a madman haha!

Hit the nail on the head. It's a very "why?" show
BP hasn't done this much damage, and they summoned Chuthulu.
How they going to follow the book in season 3? All messed up now if follow the book ?
I guess they're just going to use the broad and basic events from the books for the show

Nope it was trash
One would think with all the diversity existing a thousand years before the main show there would be a whole lot more mullatos running about.
Don't think too hard about it. Diversity is good or you're a racist
@@gothicfan52 Diversity is fine if it's believable and not if it makes no sense.
They prioritized diversity, representation and forgot about source material, character and story. Typical 2020's fantasy adaptation.
What r u smoking. cuz I need that, "it's not as bad as season 2" bruh its worst then Rings of Power
Haven't seen Rings of Power and don't plan on it
Should have cut it to zero episodes. It's as bad as rings of power.
That's one I (apparently thankfully) skipped
Witcher BO is far worse than rings of power. Easily the worst thing of the year. Even worse than wheel of time, I don't know how they managed it
Ehhh, Rings of Power was decent, just not special enough.
But this show on the other hand tarnished the Witcher name...
