So basically we pay for the BBC to produce programs that undermine our culture and religion. Dr. Who last night portrayed Isaac Newton as an Indian, casting and Indian actor, they also showed the Dr meeting 'gentleman's club owner' Mary Seacole on the battlefield and proceeded to demean Florence Nightingale as an office girl just doing paperwork. Have a look at how many politicians get free TV licenses by way of expenses, guess who pays their expenses? Modern slavery is rife in this country, we, the common person, work hard to support our politicians lavish life styles.

@billybones4837 You could have picked a far better example than the Issac Newton bit... Its a Throwaway Gag for a cold open! If it was going to be a long term storyline - Then you may have an argument with that one but as it is just a throwaway "Skit" ... It dont mean sod all!
Also, if you are going to focus on that one... Van Gough spoke in a broad Scott's accent despite the fact he was FRENCH... It is a light Entertainment "Drama" - It not trying to be "Accurate"
And the Florence Nightingale stuff... Much as I have an interest in history, I am not well versed in the Crimean War - I am aware though that there are "Disputes" between Historians these days on how much Florence Nightingale actually did do during that time...
Now, Had the BBC produced that Anne Boleyn Show - You would have a perfect case! That shit was a disgrace! But that was Channel 5 if I recall right...
Try focusing on EastEnders - You know, The show that the BBC claims is more representative of Real Life... There is SO MUCH PROPOGANDA in that show than there is any other! Doctor Who is a "Sci-Fi / Fantasy" show... They can play fast and loose with Historical Accuracy and have frequently! Because IT IS FANTASY!
EastEnders CANNOT claim that... And while I have not watched the show in many, many years - Come on... You cannot tell me that it is NOT geared towards "Propaganda" - The BBC and Government KNOW that Storylines in EastEnders will be talked about More than Politics!!!!

You do realise that BBC does more programming than that crap right?
I don't watch everything on the BBC, but one thing I know they do well is period pieces like Wolf Hall, or Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell.
Or all the Attenborough narrated nature documentaries which are so good even the American studios started to sit up and take notice because they long since stopped trying with National Geographic and the Discovery channel in favor of easy money.

it needs to rise because the money is going to more shows made 'with' Disney. But Disney have no money. They lost somewhere between $500,000,000 and $750,000,000 just in 2023. So they're going to bankrupt and the British public are being used to keep them afloat by making shows ''with' the BBC.

The thing that bothers me the most about the licence fee is the outright bullying you receive once you cancel. I don't watch broadcast TV or the iPlayer so I don't pay a licence, I don't need one. But I then get regular reminders from them that "it is a criminal offence if I do watch without a licence". Why are they allowed to get away with that? I'm not a criminal. I don't get letters from Ford reminding me that it's a criminal offence if I break the speed limit. I don't get letters from Tesco reminding me that it's a criminal offence to shoplift. Ford and Tesco recognise that most people are not criminals, but the BBC assume that everyone with no licence is a criminal. Surely that's defamation?

    • @Aaron-ze1io
      @Aaron-ze1io Год назад +1

It's because we are funding "their" organised crime rings constantly, they don't like "criminals" because what they really fear is everyone thinking and operating outside of their well funded rings of crime...they can't be having that..therefore you are branded a criminal for not conforming...the whole country is ran by criminals but because they are at the top they are allowed to get away with it.

"I don't get letters from Ford reminding me that it's a criminal offence if I break the speed limit"
      ....... 😑
Are you suffering from a brain injury?! 🙃
Ford doesn't control the speed limit, police it or receive money from the fines paid when you are caught breaking it, nor prosecute you for public endangerment to the point of deducting points from your driving license (or taking the license away if you are a repeat offender).
The govmt do all of that.
The closest contextual comparison to TV licensing would be "I don't get letters from Ford reminding me that it's a criminal offense if I take a Ford vehicle from a dealership without paying for it".
The difference being it takes almost zero effort to plug your TV into the terrestrial UHF aerial on basically every British roof and start receiving DVB-T signals from the local transmitter masts.
There is somewhat more effort required, and it is vastly easier to be caught thieving an entire vehicle from a dealership.
Your commentary is practically a textbook definition of bad faith arguments 😒

It really is simple, like you said in this video. The BBC needs to be a subscription service just like Netflix and Amazon Prime, if they want people to pay for it this is how it should be.
I haven't paid TV tax for over a decade, don't recall the last time I watched terrestrial TV channels. RUclips creators do a much better job at making shows.

True but if they made it optional 159/12 is £13 quid a month when av sub is about 10 quid a month. Who is gonna pay that for mid content? So they'd lose money if they changed and then majority of people wouldn't pay anyway. The only way out for them is to commercialise like ITV etc.

The licence fee is 44p a day. There were 67.33 million people in the UK in 2021.
If only half of those people purchased a licence, then the BBC would be raking in 29,625,200 per DAY!
For the utter tripe and scandal perpetrated by this organisation, it most definitely isn’t value for money. The licence is an outdated concept and should be consigned to history, along with the BBC.
