Drummer at first, I tried my luck at guitar.
Started out with an acustic just having fun and not much else. Someone told me I should try an electric guitar...so I did.
I had played drums with enough guitarist to know that a twin reverb amp with a wha wha and any Stratocaster made, no matter how cheap it is, will always get that classic blues rock sound. Such as Hendrix, Clapton, Marino, Trower and many others.
This is my first time playing electric guitar with a group of musicians.
We set-up this little jam studio above an ornamental wrought iron business my grandfather and I had as an art.
I would be embarrassed to show this entire video. My attempt at the blues seemed like a good place to start.
This was before my trademark blonde, flattop hairstyle. Man do I look like an 80's geek or what? Clearly one can see my juvenile excitment at realizing all the great sounds and things one can do with an electric guitar set-up.
We had the time of our lives back then and I still do now.
The bass player, a lifelong friend of mine, had only been playing bass guitar for about 6 months. He turned out to be one of the greatest bass players I have ever had the pleasure playing and working with.
Now I do this on a whole different level.
