I like Ada because she's heavily reminiscent of my boy ED-E. They both play a major role in their DLCs, being the only important new character added beside the respective antagonists. And the similarities don't end there. They're both just like their game's dog companions, because they do not give a fuck what you do. ED-E doesn't care if you wipe out the brotherhood that just gave him upgraded armour. Ada doesn't care if you murder Isabel Cruz right after she had a breakdown about accidentally killing innocents. they're machines designed to kill. And let me tell you, killing is something they do amazingly. They're both absolute units. Over the course of their games, they are both heavily modifiable, with Ada being able to be shaped into damn near anything and ED-E mostly remaining a floating orb of doom, but either with upgraded weaponry from the Followers or armour from the Brotherhood, along with the five ranks of Camerader-E gained by finding broken eyebots strewn throughout the divide. And if you want, you can also give Ada a thruster to float around just like him. Just like you modify her, you can also make automatrons at the robot workbenches from scratch, and give them beep voices reminiscent of ED-E. But I don't really use those because they can die, unlike Ada. ED-E has some amazing companion perks, giving you bonuses that are basically like PER 10 from the get-go, and the five ranks of Camerader-E giving him the ability to repair your weapons for free, produce ammo without any cost and you can also upgrade that through dialogue, permanently improved DT, energy damage bonus and increased accuracy. Ada lacks any perks because she has no affinity but also doesn't need them because fuck that, she can have a Gatling laser on one hand, a Shishkebab on the other and heavy armor all over the body turning her into a full-on slaying machine. I love them both dearly. Hell, I'm pretty sure ED-E being so amazing is the reason Curie is my go-to romance option because she starts off as a flying orb of death as well, but less adorably cute and more attractively cute. Out of all fallout companions, ED-E, Ada and Sergeant RL-3 are my favourites, and all for the same reasons. (Along with Codsy and Curie, but they actually care about your actions.) They fly, they kill, they don't care what you do and they are all just really, really god-damn cool.
