Bonus points if you can count how many food references I make in this video lol This one took a bit longer to edit than I expected but it’s finally here-hope you enjoy! Whether you’re coming from episode 1 or just stumbled across this video, welcome. My time in Jingdezhen this summer meant a lot to me and I'm excited to share with anyone who will watch. Working (very slowly) on Chinese subtitles. I would love to hear your feedback and what you'd like to see more of as I work on future episodes! (if you missed it, watch ep. 1 here: ruclips.net/video/KQOG0U4uIjU/видео.html)
I was recommended this video in my home page and I'm so glad I decided to click on this. I watch this from beginning to end and this video gave me new life and inspiration! It really made me dream of the possibilities of my future and how I can pursue my craft and creativity. Keep these videos coming because they're so delightful and thoughtfully edited
I didn’t expect to watch this whole thing. The pottery is fascinating, but I enjoyed the narrative the most-being a new student in a new place, somewhat lonely but finding pockets of belonging here and there. The way it comes to an end and how it’s always bittersweet. It reminded me of the different spaces I’d been in and out of. Thank you for capturing and sharing these things!
And I didn't expect to read such a thoughtful comment. Looking back I've found myself in these kinds of situations time and time again, but this summer in Jingdezhen, I feel like I really learned how to embrace and enjoy the discomfort of growing. Thank you so much for watching and sharing and I'm so glad the video resonated with you :)
You tell your story so beautifully. I have enjoyed your first 2 episodes of your pottery journey and am looking forward to more. I am also learning pottery, just teaching myself via you tube :)
Another great video :) I'm learning a lot about pottery from this series too! It's cool to see how much work is required during each step. It's also crazy to think of how many hours these Masters have spent on their craft to get to the levels they're at now.
Thank you for sharing the names of the techniques. Thanks to that, I can learn more by myself. If you have the opportunity to come to Vietnam, I hope we will have the opportunity to discuss more.
thanks for sharing! I've been looking to enroll in a pottery bootcamp for a while :) how did you register/find about this bootcamp? do you have any bootcamp recs?
Hi Stefanie! thank you for watching :) And yes, you can email me at the address on my channel page. I'll get back to you with more info about the school!
@@katherinejzhang This video is so interesting!! I would very much like the informations about this school as well, if you would be so kind to share with me as well. Thank you so much!
@sara2010M @ricapluto Hi! so they don't teach in English, but my friend from France did totally fine learning by watching and occasionally using a translator app. But he was just a normal student who practiced throwing all day. Admittedly it would be a lot harder to do the more fast-paced bootcamp with Masters teaching complex concepts, without knowing Chinese. But I am talking with Master Zhan about the possibility of hosting an English speaking class with a translator present for students like you in the future, if there's enough interest! If that sounds like something you'd like to do feel free toemail me at katherinezhang000@gmail.com :)
Hi! So they do have international students in the sense that people have traveled from all over the world to take their classes, but they don't teach in English as of now. I am talking with the studio about the possibility of hosting an international class with an English translator, if there's enough interest! If that sounds like something you'd like to be included in, feel free to email me at katherinezhang000@gmail.com
