- DJI mini 4 pro new drone night MODE tutorial.
I just upgraded from the mini 2 drone and this one has so many new features. Watch the first night flight with my screen recording and how amazing the vibrant it records at night.
Hope you enjoy the beautiful city skyline and the video in Philadelphia.

Thanks for sharing such a cool video and keeping it simple!
Thanks for the support 👍🏼
Wow! Beautiful!
Thanks
That's amazing 👍 ❤️ ❤️
Thanks
really beautiful
Thanks for the support
I'm on the fence... I really want one but just trying to justify costs... Isn't everyone? LOL
That video is amazing, the sharpness and the colors ... It's rich but not over saturated. It's just gorgeous. Thank you!
Thanks for the support. Yes it is expensive like everything else nowadays. 🤷🏻♂️ glad you enjoyed it. 👍🏼
Great quality video, thank you
Thanks for the support.
Very cool, well done.
Thanks
Top 👏👏👏
Thanks
wow, nice lights, big city
Thanks
Nice drone love it
Thanks 👍
Great video! I just got a mini 4 too, can't wait to try this out in my town, Cambridge Ontario.
Yes it is an amazing drone I love it. Great quality and stable. Enjoy it 👍🏼 thanks
I have the Mavic 2 Pro. Yeah I'm upgrading to the Mini 4 Pro. Awesome footage thank you
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the support.
I am blown away by the quality of the video in low light. However, when you turn the camera on the gimble, it seems to go out of focus just a bit. I see this issue with my camera if I stand in one place and turn my body in a circle. When you shoot straight on at the City, it is solid. If the drone moves from side to side, or up and down, or backward, it looks great. Also, when you do move the camera on the gimble, it doesn't look that smooth like it's waiting for a signal to move. All in all I would say that the DJI Mini Pro 4 stands out as the top video drone on the market by far. Now if they could just get the price down. Thanks!
Great insight. Thanks for the clarification, I agree. Yes it would be nice to see the price go down, that’s the reason I only bought the basic package with 1 battery for now. Didn’t want to pay so much extra for the controller.
Thanks for the support.
Probably that 1.7 aperture. I haven’t noticed but will look for that.
Super gemacht mein Respekt 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🕊️
Thanks
Very nice thanks for the video 😊
Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for the support.
@@alyanram your welcome
amazing
Thanks
@@alyanram and it is not annoying to have your daughter in the background! Kids are part of life. :)
@@graphguy yes of course. Kids are the best thing that happened to my life. Thanks for the support 👍🏼
Amazing! Just bought one last week but haven't flown at night yet.
Great man. Hope you enjoy it. Yah it is amazing at night just as day. Thanks for the support.
Great flight congrats from a uk flyer 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks.
Is night mode do the bottom light stay on..?? Does night mode have obstache avoid.?? Where you at.. it's so beautiful
Yes the bottom light stays on and the obstacle avoidance stays on and work great. I’m in Philadelphia PA, USA. Thanks for the support.
I have a DJI mini 4 pro drone. It takes great videos and pics. I would like to take better videos and pics at night. Do I need a ND filter lens for night vision for glare images like light and water?
I don’t have a ND filter. Never used one. I believe that is more for motion blur and not the glare from lights. Just try to use the night mode on the mini 4 pro. It works great for me and no need for anything else. Thanks and enjoy.
I was hoping that you would show the return flight all the way down to where you were. It looked like you hand launched to begin with, I was wondering if you hand caught the landing. I was also wondering how you managed the return trip since you obviously could not see it in flight coming back. Did you use the RTH function and if so what was your return height set at? I am also interested in how well the landing light may have worked for increased visibility from the ground as you brought it down out of the night sky.
I am interested in the night photography that this drone is capable of but I am not sure about the flying environment, i.e. how to comfortably avoid crashing the drone at night time, bringing it back to yourself and at what heights...etc etc. etc.
I thought I heard you say that it was your 2nd flight. If that was the case, I am totally amazed at what choices you make at that level of experience with two kids in tow flying out of a park in Philadelphia. Hat is off to you, you have a lot of nerve.
Hi, I did use the RTH function from pressing the button on the controller, definitely easier to do that at night.. my return height is set at 250ft to avoid any trees or buildings. However, I did not hand catch it, as usually I just let it land next to me on the street. The landing light is visible and will help when it is dark, I was close to the park and there was some light so it wasn’t totally dark. But the return is managed usually be the auto RTH but I like to take over and manually lower it down and land in the spot I feel it’s best.. away from people and things.
It was my second flight using this drone*, I had a mini 2 and used that for a couple of years.. mostly durning the day since it would not look good when it’s dark. but now with this I can use it after sunset like this video and will look amazing. Thus I flew many times and with each time , you will get better at take off and landing for sure.
Thanks for the support 👍🏼

Thanks for taking the time to fully answer my questions. I am going to watch this video again and also take a look at your RUclips channel.
Fantastic shots! Did you made the upgrade for the 120m limit? c0 Label away??
Thanks 👍🏼. I have the US version which doesn’t have that restriction. It always had the 120m limit (400feet). I believe only in the EU that restriction applies.
Waouh 🤩🤩 thank you for sharing😊
I get the same drone but no lights and no building in my village 😢
Thanks for the support. I’m sure you have some interesting scenery, maybe forest and trees? 👍🏼
Looks like all auto also? I live a couple hours from Atlanta (Spartanburg) need to take mini 4 there to try that!! Just realized not Atlanta
Yes all in auto settings.
I was already pumped to fly Philly this Friday
But after seeing this
I am literally drooling lol
Fantastic vid brother
Which park did you take off from and do you have to be constantly on the look out for The Po Po and Nosy Karens 🤷🏻♂️ I’ve flown at Boat House Row and The Art Museum and had no problem whatsoever
But weaving thru Center City is next frkn level lol
Thanks for the support bro.
This is from Schuylkill River Park. Great place to fly from, next to the kids park. No problems also. People never asked me a thing about the drone. Hope you enjoy 👍🏼 thanks
Was you using any lens filter? And was the video just on full auto no adjustments? As I can’t get the same quality from my mini 4 pro 🤷🏻♂️
No lens or filter. Straight out of the box, auto settings. Only change the video mode to night mode and make sure you are filming in 4K. Thanks
@@alyanram yup all the settings match and I can only suggest the country seasonal light is a lot different here in the uk I’m getting used to nd filters slowly and improving my night captures
New subscriber sir
Thank you for the support 👍🏼
Where did you download the music? you playing in the back ground
RUclips, song: You Can Do It by Soundridemusic
@@alyanram Is this paid ?
I only took the RUclips link and converted it to MP3. I think the song is copy righted. I don’t make money from RUclips so it doesn’t matter if the song has copy right or not for me. But if you want to use it and make money, then it won’t work.
Thank you for the info, I do not think it matter. If the song was not copy righted, you should have got the warning. But if you did not than I think its copy righted.
Stunning video, didn't you experience signal loss for flying from a low surface into and behind skyscrapers?
Thanks. No signal loss, this drone has an incredible transmission strength. As long as you keep it in line of sight and don’t go behind skyscrapers, meaning you can’t have a building cover it and be between the drone and controller. But since you can go up high, you won’t have a problem. 👍🏼
Thanks for your response it gets me kinda anxious to fly my drone this far
Do the proximity sensors work in night
Yes they should, it is infrared sensors. As long as you keep the drone in Cine mode or Normal mode speed, no sport mode ( in sport the sensors will turn off).
What are the rules for flying in the city
Такой маленький дрон, а качество видео впечатляет!
Amazing. Thanks for the support 👍🏼
Man, this dude makes it look so easy. How do you do it flying so close to buildings, BVLOS, and during twilight? Do you have a beacon? Do you have a waiver for the 400" around buildings? And how do you fly over cars non transitional? Do you have a waiver? There so many restrictions, and the fines are so steep that I wouldn't dare. How do you do it brother?
As far as I know, the DJI app lets you know if you are in a restricted area or not. It actually won’t let you fly in a restricted area. So it is legal to fly over house, building and cars.. the Mini 4 pro has a light at the bottom of it and 2 lights on the legs to fly at night. So as long as you are under 400 feet and in line of sight, then it is legal. I’m flying recreational thus I don’t need a pilot license. This is from my research in this area.. might be different somewhere else. Thanks
@alyanram that is good information. Thank you, that helps a lot. Enjoy your Mini 4 Pro. Imagine what the Mini 5 will do.
Yes. It keeps getting better and better. Thanks.
@@alyanram Appreciate your video , its cool but your interpretation about FAA regulation is probably wrong .
1. The light under your drone & two nav light are NOT strobe light because per FAA regulation it needs to be 3NM visibility at least for the civil twilight flight.
2. DJI app says OK to fly doesn't mean it's legal to fly. You need to check what type of air space your location is and if there is any TFR or SFRA in place.
3. Arguably your drone cannot fly over moving vehicles / do any sustained flight unless you have the waiver. But this part is in gray area because you can legally do a transit and I don't know your actual flight pattern that day.
4. It will be subject to Part 107 regulation once you post your clip on RUclips for profit, it's not under recreational catagory anymore.
@@alyanramthis is absolutely false on every account. DJI’s geo zones have nothing to do with the FAA UAS Facility Map. You still need to apply for LAANC, and you still need to make sure that you’re not flying in an FAA prohibited zone. You can still very easily be flying in a TFR or other prohibited zone.
This is also definitively not recreational flight. You are posting this footage online for instructional reasons. This requires Part 107.
Flying after civil twilight, even recreationally, also requires anti collision lighting. So you’re not just wrong, you’re actually giving people bad information that can get them into trouble.
Amazing! In Germany it´s not allowed to fly just like that over a city for private persons
Thanks. Yah in the US it is ok for the mini drone. 👍🏼
@@alyanram Cool. A good reason to visit USA. Almost everything is forbidden here. No residential properties, no industrial areas, no nature reserves, no motorways, etc. I mean of course. Sometimes there are good reasons, but sometimes it´s too regulated in my opinion.
And this is a small country. lol. That's terrible, but I usually fly the drone on holiday. I'm going to Thailand in February. I´m very excited
@@okkuhsv yah I hear you, it’s hard.
Good luck with your trip, that’s very exciting to explore and fly in new areas. Specially the Philippines where the environment is so green and nice. 👍🏼
When I watched this exelent videoI had the same idea: not possible in Germany. In September I will visit the new England states (with me drone)
Obstacle avoidance does not work at night right
Yah I think it needs good lighting conditions in order to work, since it is using camera based sensors to see around. So if there is low light it will give a warning and tell you that OA is disabled. Thanks
What was your max altitude?
400 feet.
HEY BRO WHEN U SAY PUNCHY WHAT THAT MEAN?
That means the colors have a nice contrast and bright, you can see them vividly and they pop, on other drones I see the colors more flat and white. That’s why this drone has a high dynamic range and can see clearer in the dark.
He means the colours are really coming out like there hitting you hence the phrase punchy !!
Great video. I liked 👍 and dropped a sub.
I'm hoping to ask you or someone to help me with a question? I am also a content creator, and I test flashlights, outdoors and I'm not sure what settings would look the best in either total darkness OR very low light in the area? I dont know if there is a filter or In not sure of low light settings.
I just bought a mini 4 pro,
I truly am not trying to self promo or step on toes. I apologize. I hope I don't offend you. You make awesome videos. 😀
Also I know how to screen record ...how do you show the big screen with nothing on it on the video? I want to do this. Thank you
Hi. Thanks for the support. Not sure if there is any special settings got the flashlight, however, just put the drone on Night mode and auto settings should take care of it and have nice video. Also don’t just screen record, press the red button on the right to record a video from the drone, you need a memory card inserted in the drone first. This way you can get 4K video. 👍🏼 Hope this can help. Happy holiday.
Night Mode with auto??? No camera settings??
Yes. Just put the video in night mode and keep it auto that’s all. It will adjust the settings automatically to match best lighting. 👍🏼
@@alyanram doesn't night mode automatically set the ISO to 12800?
Where's the tutorial? Kkk 😂
In video tab, press the “night mode” and start recording. That’s all there is with the tutorial 👍🏼😂 pretty simple and out of the box. No custom settings at all. Enjoy.
Thanks!!
