Have the same bike Fraser and contemplating putting these pegs on, as I'm 6ft 2" and need to stretch the bend out in my legs. Not quite sure what the engineers had in mind with the brake pedal as i find it sits way too low, am sure the pegs help. Have had the Barkbusters for a while but having a problem to get them at the angle I want on the clutch side. Thanks for the videos, good angles on the camera and description. Greetings from Canada.
Hi David, thanks for watching and for the comment. At 6' 2" you're about 2" taller than me, the pegs will definitely help with lengthening you out on the bike, the other thing you'll find is that the controls are now closer to you when standing so you're not quite so stooped or flat backed, it's way less tiring. Depending on your boot size and how you ride there is one thing to watch for and that is your heel sitting on the side stand 'nubbin', the bit you use to push the stand down, it's not a major problem but worth considering. I'm probably going to modify mine. As for the Barkbusters, I agree I would have liked to position them more toward the horizontal but there's some sort of 2 way switch on the clutch lever that fowls them. What I did do is rotate my bars slightly toward the front which put the lever angle slightly down and creates more room between the tank and the guards. This also helps a bit with bike control, but be careful not to go crazy with the rotation as you will upset the steering if you rotate them too far forward, or rearward for that matter. Maybe that's a new video right there...bar position hmmmm. Thanks again for your comment and i'm glad you liked the video. Greetings from Scotland back at you ;-)
