Hey Friends, let me know if you enjoyed today's video? I'm curious to know which meals will you be trying? Please do let me know in the comments 👇I hope you'll try them all. 😉 All recipe details are in the description box.
I appreciate your honesty speaking about the fact that you have been eating a lot of processed foods lately because in reality no one is perfect and it’s nice to know that even you a fitness trainer and healthy eater indulges once in a while ❤ And I just want to say that I love your videos and I can tell you really care about people and they’re health👍❤️🙂💪🫛
Thank you so much for your kind comment. It means a lot! Yes I'm not perfect, I don't think anyone is. Staying fit and maintaining a fit body is a constant effort, It never ends. It's okay once in a while to indulge. 80/20 rule. But I'm noticing for me 80/20 rule has to become somewhat of a 90/10 rule as i get older! 😆
@@suzannemccabe386 That's okay! We got this and we're here to support one another. Lets focus on all the positive things instead like a "healthy body", ability to move pain free etc :)
Yes!! Thank you for your honesty - and it's even more difficult in 50s!! I have lots of days/weeks/months of 'sloppy' eating to recover from. And I will!! I appreciate your inspiration. :). That stir-fry looks amazingly delicious!!
Sure I will try. Although I am noticing it didn't get as many views as my other videos usually get. So I'm not sure if there is a demand for this type of content on my channel. I need to re-evaluate but I definitely appreciate your feedback and suggestion.😍
I’m having sticky orange gochujang soy curls now-inspo from So Vegan’s sticky orange gochujang tofu recipe. I balanced the ingredients to my taste and this is the third time I’ve made this recipe. Side of veggies and rice/quinoa/ground lupini beans. Slowly trying to get into the mind state of a bit of a cut after trying to put on muscle for the past six months. I’ve never had to truly count calories and just being wfpb was enough to get me to a lower weight, but trying to build muscle will be a new challenge, especially as I’ve been much less consistent in the gym. Watching you and others to try and be inspired😅
Yum Gochujang soy curls sound yummy! :) Building muscle takes a proper training plan and higher protein intake for muscle/protein synthesis. It can be done. Just focus on protein at each meal throughout the day.
Thank you for the meal inspiration, I love all the meals you shown today. Thank you for being honoust about being sloppy with the nutricions. Because that is exactly how I am as a 40 plus woman. I think staying on track is always harder during the winter time. It is cold outside and I want to nourish my body with comfort foods. It is behaviour that we made a habit by doing it like that for so many years.
You're absolutely right Francisca...Its harder to stay on track as weather gets colder. It just bad habits we've all adopted over the years of mindless snacking. :( If we want to maintain a fit body, it requires constant effort and be aware of snacking habits. It's definitely harder to stay fitter as we get older :( I'm happy to hear you enjoyed all meals. Let me know if you end up making any? :)❤
Thank you Neesha , as always lovely recipes, both the tempeh and the stir fry looked delicious 😋 love that you share your workout and explain why you choose the machines that you use, find it very useful 🙌🙌
Thanks for watching and leaving me a lovely comment as always Nazeen. I appreciate you being here and always supporting my channel. Glad to hear you found my workout/explanations helpful :)❣
Hi thanks for a lovely video. Loved the gym machine workout bit too. Can you please do a leg machine workout which you find works. Get too overwhelmed sometimes not having a plan in the gym :))
I am making the Tofu stir fry for dinner tonight. I got all the veggies prepped and sauce made. Tofu is in air fryer. Thanks for all your yummy easy meals.
Amazing videos. You are inspiring and very knowledgeable. Love making your foods. What frying pans go you use, they look great for non stick without teflon. Thank you for posting meal videos.
Thank you and happy to hear you enjoy my recipes! To be honest, these are not any "specific" high end brand pans. Whatever I found at Home Sense/Winners. I took my chance and they turned out pretty decent! :)
I love your videos and find them so helpful, I have been lifting weights for years, plant based for only 4 years and I struggle with being in perimenopause and seeing any results. Any suggestions?
Thank you. I'm happy to hear you enjoy my videos and find them helpful. To be honest, declining hormones do make things challenging so that's the reason why our consistency with everything else has to be close to 99% at this stage to see changes. At least that's what I find with myself or my clients. 1. Nutrition, minimal processed foods ( prioritize high protein), no alcohol 2. resistance training (lift heavy with intensity) to maintain declining muscle mass, progressive overload. 3. Prioritize sleep. 4. Manage stress levels, 5. Be active outside of the gym, daily walks. 6. Sprinkle in Cardio. 7. plenty of water, 8. Be extremely patient and consistent. Lastly if you're doing everything well close to 99% consistency, then its worth looking into HRT. Don't lose hope. You're on the right track. There is no end date with Fitness so keep going!
Chips and crunchy snacks are my downfall. The best thing for me is to NOT have them in the house at all. Just like you said even if you're someone that exercises a lot it still won't make up for all those extra calories. Great tip about steaming the tempeh...that bitter taste can be so off-putting sometimes! Yuck! All your meals look really delicious! Thank you.

Thank you for sharing. I am definitely going to try the tempeh toast first. I've been trying to find more recipes that make tempeh taste yummy.
give this Tempeh toast a try. You'll love it. Its very tasty and flavorful. Make sure to steam tempeh first and do add humus on your toast!
