I know this is dumb but can you please start testing out the speaker systems in the cars too? it's dumb but for me that's a huge selling point also.

Just purchased our 2023 Calligraphy and drove it home. Went in to purchase a Tucson and saw this on the showroom floor and purchased it. Amazing car for the money. Top of the line luxury at a low lower price than the luxury models of other manufacturers were offering. Even extended out the 5 yr 60,000 mile warranty to 10 yr 120,000 miles. Awesome deal!

Getting mine march next year our new '23' plate here in the UK. Our top spec is called ultimate and no offence but ours doesn't have that one silly exhaust outlet. Why they've put that on the USA model god only knows. Mines silver, in the UK its called typhoon silver and ours is a 7 seater as standard

We purchased this exact spec back in May 2021. My wife having a 2013 Sante fe and we loved all the features and tech for the price but have been kind of disappointed with it. The Transmision is super clunky, especially at low speeds and when you put it in reverse it 'bucks' hard, kind of dangerously actually. Also, we have had times when I have put the car in park, and it has begun rocking back and forth and other times when the rpms drop low and it has stalled completely and the engine will not turn back on for a few try's. I believe that Hyundai has great tech and features that its competitors don't for the price but scimp out on the mechanical aspects like engine and transmission, this was our 4th Hyundai but will prob be our last unfortunately.

On December 2022, I picked up my Santa Fe calligraphy for 2023. You won't regret buying it. With regard to the forward collision sensors, I selected Active assist on the vehicle settings, but drove towards my plastic trash can in the middle of the drive way without the car automatically braking. Could anyone tell me how the front safety sensors assist in automatic braking?

If that's the same 10.25" Infotainment that Hyundai uses in almost all their top trim SUVs... then NO. That looks just like the 10.25 Infotainment in my 2023 Tucson Hybrid which is also wired-only. Oddly, the lower trims with the 8" screen have wireless android auto... if you "upgrade" to the top trims, you lose the wireless in favor of plug-in AA/ACP. Pro-tip... go on Amazon and order an Android Auto Wireless adapter (it plugs into the car and your phone wirelessly connects to the adapter).

I'm a fan of Hyundai's recent SUVs and own two myself. This looks amazing in every aspect, and yes, always do the engine upgrade Hyundai is notorious for putting really "meh" aspirated engines in baseline trims, but if you upgrade to their turbos (the 1.6 or 2.5) it's always a noticeable difference and well worth it. Having said that, there's one thing I find as a no-beuno and I don't think I could ever buy the 2023 Santa Fe because of it.
5:43 That "I glued a laptop* to the top of the dash for the infotainment center" look. Ugh... No! That seemed to be a very short lived trend that happened around 2020, and like everything else about 2020, it was terrible! Both Hyundai SUVs above and below the Santa Fe (Palisade and Tucson) have the exact same infotainment system integrated into the dash in a seamless fashion, while the Santa Fe screams "I was conceptually designed in 2020 and I suck".
Until Hyundai gets some Goo-Be-Gone and unglues that laptop* from the top of the dash, I wont be in the market for this car... everything else about this car rocks... I love it... but 5 years from now someone will sit in the car, look at the infotainment glued to the top of the dash and say "this is a 2020 car, isn't it?".
*To be fair, it looks more like an Amazon Echo Show
