How many amps will a gator TE pull starting on a steep hill? Will a 100 or 200A continous bms be enough?

A 200 amp continuous BMS might work probably not a 100 amp continuous BMS

Also depends on the weight that it might be pulling the size of the tire how loose the dirt is.

I have hooked up a gator Ater with a 100 amp BMS and they haven’t had any problems with it but it’s a extremely small battery and it just kind of drives around the ranch on pretty hard ground most of the time

RUclips is full of guys hooking up the Chinese 48v 100ah packs to carts with no issues but I don't know if a gator with huge balloon tires would trip it. So far I have found no vids of guys tripping the 100a bms golf carts. Maybe they don't work.

Are these battery better than the spim08hp

these type of cells can be a little harder to work with in my opinion. One of these modules can put out 100A so when i stack 5 together they can easily do 500A their charge rate isnt the best if you have a cart that can to regenerative breaking. i would have to build a pack that could handle the regen instead of the output which might be something like 10 of these modules together.

@@RetroElectric i follow ur builds cause am trying to build a kart for two adult from scratch... When u do ur battery upgrades.. do u also change ur main contactor.. the resistor and controller if so which do u use...
Also busbar i saw in one of ur videos u used aluminum cut out plate the spim08hp busrt out 400a for 2mins did it harm the bus bar...

@@oa1583 no the bus bars were fine. The biggest thing with aluminum is oxidation because of electroless us if you are in humid or wet areas. For the solinoid you can just replace the 36 V one with a 12v one and put your solenoid circuit on the 12 V circuit.

What spot welder are you using and nickel strip thickness? My cheap $20 Amazon spot welder barely gets nickel strip to connect to a 26650. Thank you!

I got a 50$ one but I’ve burnt them out too. I have to spot weld these very strategically.
