ZimaBoard is a low-cost single-board server designed for makers and geeks.
Zimaboard has both the expandability of an x86 SBC and the appropriate power of a microserver. With ZimaBoard, you can setup a 4 Terabyte personal cloud in 5 minutes, configure a secure VPN to protect your digital footprint, tune your network with OpenWrt and pfSense, build a 4K media server that runs with Plex, share and collaborate with team members on your files, or upgrade your smart projects across different systems.
ZimaBoard is created by makers who got tired of recurring fees, unfriendly presets, and isolated systems. We want to make the home digital experience more attractive and affordable.

FYI not disclosing paid endorsement goes against the FTC guide. If you're making this for free, you should reevaluate.
Yup. My man about to get sued
theres no way this isnt paid or reimbursed as soon as he bought 10 it was clear…
@thebear4446 nobody gives a shit
Maybe he wasnt sponsored, but feels heavily like he was
It was a sponsor, 100% there is no way in god that it isnt because check the desc
The Zima is twice as expensive but the pi is overpriced? You don't know what you are talking about or you got given them boards to review like I've seen other RUclipsrs I've seen.
maybe he was payed?
Yeah, stupid comparison!!..
Paid...
he’s ai generated
The RPi5 costs $127.99 on Amazon. I bought the Zimaboard for $110. What are you even talking about?
$160 for the Zima at a spec level that matches the RPI4. $70 for the RPI4.
It's paid garbage promotion
The problem is that the Pi 4 is 4 years old & the scarcity of them from legitimate retailers certified by RaspberryPi means that scalpers can charge whatever they can get away with. Both my Pi 5 8GBs together cost about 60% of what Asian "manufacturers" at NewEgg are selling an old Pi 4 for.
You also need to account for all the accessories you need for the Pi.. Adds up well over $100 if you're actually buying the necessary component add-ons. Reason Pi price plummeted is because there's better brands out now for even cheaper
You should disclose when you receive payments for advertising. It is illegal and immoral to not disclose to your viewers when you are showing them a paid endorsement, weather that’s obvious or not.
Immoral maybe, but not illegal in the United States. It’s a contract agreement. not a regulation.
@@spray_cheese it is, Google “FTC Endorsement”, Tom Scott also made a video discussing both the US and UK systems regarding this
@@spray_cheese FTC says otherwise
@@spray_cheeseThe FTC LOVESSSSS uninformed people like you, it's free money for them, they love throwing fines at people like you.
@@spray_cheeseAnd the whole contract thing is bogus as well, a contract can't bypass US LAW, if it does it's INVALID
You don't love SBCs, you love money..😂
Complains about over priced SBCs then goes ahead and buys 10 ...
10 zimas, which happen to be more overpriced than the pi
*”Watch me incorrectly compare technology while performing illegal activity!”*
Bro. You cannot just advertise this product and then not disclose this in the video. Even if it’s in the description, you have to at least _say that you’re being paid_
I like the part where he actually mentions the Zima's price
#paid ad
#paid #ad #notrust #promo #lawsuit #rules
Says raspi is overpriced at $120 and goes and buys 10x Zima board computers that are listed at $119.99 each! 😂
BTW, 8gb raspi4 costs $95, 8gb Zima costs $199
Got paid to receive 10 overpriced pi clones, for free, but said he bought them
Raspberry Pi 5 is likely more powerful and significantly cheaper, of course you wouldn't mention that since ITS AN UNDISCLOSED PAID AD. Report and click the do not recommend button.
RPi5 on amazon costs $127.99. I got the Zimaboard for $110. You don't know what you are talking about.
@@turanamo What are you talking about? Raspberry pi 5 costs $80
@@turanamouse rpilocator. You can find it for significantly cheaper. Rpi5’s are going for 60 rn at us retailers.
@@turanamoEven the RPI4 is alot faster than the ZimaBoard, and the RPI5 is more than 2 times more powerfull than RPI4, and its way cheaper than the ZimaBord now
They are NOT overpriced, they still costs $35.
(unless indeed you buy them from scalpers that multiply the price by 5 or six times)
Please , send me a link of raspiberry pi $35
Trippin bro, your not going to find any for that price because of scalpers which is why he said over priced because only the high end bundles are available
@@Cowlord2000 all official resellers sell them for the original price. Ignore scalpers, as long as you buy from them they will keep this farce up!
@@martindejong3974depending on places, the official seller like cytron don’t have stock for many months, and one scalper ones cost as much as buying a basic pc or you can buy latte panda, I guess in some part of the world they are fricking overpriced, luckily the official seller have new stock since last few week
@@SamuelLingstock is coming back (rpi locator)
I would like to see a price comparison
Raspberry Pi 4 Model B - 2GB:
$44.99
ZimaBoard 216 - 2GB:
$83.90
@@thesebi He ordered "their flagship" which is $200. The performance will be different.
@@xero110 maybe... but he compared it to the 2gb Raspberry... that's why i started at that.
@@thesebi If you want to use "maybe" to justify $116 more, I'm sorry, but I'm guessing you work for them.
@@xero110 huh?!
I don't justify shit... i won't buy a zimba board and this video looks like clear advertising to me... even though he did not deem it necessary to be transparent about it.
You are clearly mistaken, if you think i recommend this board.
I remember when the whole appeal for a Raspberry Pi was that they were cheap and so readily available as a result
The problem is the scalpers that bought as many pi’s as they can control the price for the majority of pi’s on the market simply because they have all of them
i had no idea they were so expensive! i remember i bought my 3b for $35
@@slay_recursion1036 3b+'s are still $35 however, the raspberry pi 4 is like $80 and is always sold out
Rpi's are in huge demand. These are used in lots of industrial process control hardware now. Many have moved on from using intel.
@@tweetyguy7347 huh interesting what’s the difference?
Zima? You can zima nuts 💀
The prices you showed for the pi is the scalped prices, that's really unfair.
Aint no way bro is running gentoo linux on a SBC ☠️
Bro is definitely scalping those.
that disk i/o is just the speed of your microsd card..
not paid promotion at all...
Lol
Fun fact: the zima board is actually an all in one homelab server that comes with the compamys CasaOS web interface pre installed, you sir just bought 10 homelabs
Prices are back to normal now
I am BEGGING you to make a cluster with these
The value of the Pie stems from the documentation - not the performance
Paid ad, "Do not recommend channel" pressed
Bro is complaining that the rpi is overpriced but proceeds to buy 10 zima boards
You got the "Special Edition", what is not more availible. The working gab is the "Celeron"...
"They are so overpriced"
Buys even more expensive SBM.
Its also what use case you got, the Zima is x86 while the Pi is ARM.
The Zima got great IO and even ports like sata and PCIE.
Because of the price and use case difference i dont think they are competitors.
For the ignorant, RPi5 on amazon costs $127.99. I got the Zimaboard for $110. Almost the same price but Zima kicks the Pis rear in compute power.
The Video literally shows that even the RPI4 has more CPU power than the Zimaboard, the RPI Foundation claims a 2-3 times performance boost on the RPI5 compared to the RPI4 so the RPI5 CPU is way better than the Zimaboard CPU
Literally the 2 gb ram zima costs more than the 8gb ram raspberry pi 4 wtf since when is that cheaper. This is clearly a paid ad
Complains about them being overpriced, then proceeds to buy a more expensive solution
Now compare the Raspberry pi to the Arduino
You imply that the Zima board is cheaper than the raspberry pi. It isn't. Currently it's ~$150. This is blatant false representation of a product that you clearly didn't pay for.
When you buy a raspberry pi from an authorized retailer from them, you can get a 8gb raspberry pi for $75. Only issue is that they are always out of stock and I’ve been trying to get one for a while now
The raspberry 5 is available for preorder for $60 for the 4GB model and $80 for 8GB, so there is no way this silly SBC is better now.
The raspberry pi is twice as powerful as the zima board + it’ s cheaper
I was not expecting Ozuna in this video
Just know the raspberry pi thermal throttles, the Zima board has advantages by built in EEMc storage and passive cooling
Was not expecting to hear Ozuna at the end
Seeing how this ad was constructed I’d say, I’d rather discard all you’ve said. No backed information and as much it might better or worse , you don’t even have link to a longer more detailed video waning this short was targeted at those that just by bug products impulsively and don’t care about the details.
Good music at the end hehe
Nice price checking on the raspberry :D
Does the zima have io ports?
Why only these 3 tests?
zima is two times more expensive, uses an ancient innefficient x86 cpu straight from a 50 dollar laptop. (arm is literally the reason people buy raspberries)
least blatant advertisement, lol.
RPi is too expensive for over 100$, so I will purchase these 10x120$ SBCs instead. Big Brain time
Zimba is way over priced compared to the pie and actually the only reason the pie is over $100 right now it’s because of a silicon supply shortage which will end extremely soon. The pies are normally like $50.
ZIMA is not a board for electronic creator's and made for single board computer stuff like (I wont mention just visit their site) plus it has an intel quad core CPU who'd you expect to win.
Edit: ZIMA is mainly good for server hosting & stuff (mentioned it just if you don't wanna go check their site)
yeah the zima is 83 USD in its most basic version (NOT the one shown in the video)
Update: Pi prices are back to normal and even Pi 5 is cheap now
Guys Rpis are getting back in stock by end of year you can as many as you need
The raspberry pi series is way more affordable than the zima.
those are different boards for different uses, really different boards, the zima is more like just a efficient micropc instead of the hacky board with a different architecture that is rpi
and also there is the moral part, despite arm not being OpenSource, its viable to make your own arm processor by taking existing cores, doing a bit of "cherry picking"
thats just not an option for amd64 neither the obsolete x86
Zima boards are double the price fo the Raspberry boards. TD
Raspberry Pi is f*****g sick, so its way better. Boo zima...boo. boo Zima
Raspberry Pi's aren't overpriced, they are just low on stock and being scalped to the damn moon. The base price is supposed to be 35$, and the highest end one is only supposed to be like 80$ or something
Oh a SBC that costs more...beats...a pi.
I swear when he said but can it stand the ultimate test in performance on my life I was thinking he would Can it run crysis lol
just get a used thin client like the Fujitsu Futro S740 (50$ for ~Zimaboard 832). Or a used Dell micro, Lenovo Tiny, HP mini pc or an intel NUC. Pretty easy to find something cheaper and more powerful + upgradable there. (Project TinyMiniMicro)
Do your recommendations have GPIO?
@@ZJARDOON Nope, but AFAIK neither does the Zimaboard. If price to Performance is what you're after, dont get the Zima. If it's GPIO get a PI (Raspberry or other)
Why are there ads on my feed
I know this isn't single board computer but what about the Arduino? Don't you find uses for a microcontroller too?
I'm don't think pi's are overpriced considering what you can do with them they're perfectly priced I'd say
I got mine for 85usd Raspberry Pi 4 8gb 😅
Overpriced 😂
Great… but how much more expensive is it?
The cpus in the zimas are now out of support by intel as of June 30, 2023. Go for an odroid H3/H3+
These are not cheap boards by any means
they are absolutely not overpriced, thats straight up a lie
clearly an undisclosed ad, cringe acting, but also it's more expensive than the "overprice" RPIs
Wait so how does it compare in efficiency of energy use? And did the pi also get a massive heatsink like the heatsink?
Bro it is default heatsink.
Ah yes, 50$ > 230$
$120 zima $80 RPi4 with similar specs. which one is overpriced?
If you’re actually getting paid for this I would be worried. Not only are you not disclosing it’s an ad. This also feels pretty much like slander towards Raspberry Pi.
If this is "slander", then Nintendo should've sued Sega over their Genesis ads
U running GENTOO on that thing?? How did u manage to compile the thing without burning it?
Lets see you build an identically functioning device for cheaper.
I feel like you're the only one that loves them.
The Zima blade is also good
So were the scores combined like a pentathlon or like the comparison of sports nations, as both methods are used when doing multiple thinks at the modern olympic games ?
Which would be better for monero/XMR mining?
What if? You use both and wrote code to integrate them together
They are not $120? Unless buying from scalpers. They are cheap and hard to find.
The zima board costs around 200 bucks and cpu is like 2ghz
Overpriced but still less expensive than the zimma board
But watt/task for power consumption challenge?
Zima has less recourses online for suppport.
“So overpriced”… just shop around a little for one, and you will find decent deals.
Zimaboard is way more expensive than raspi
Zima cost 230 in the Netherlands... so a 117 raspi isnt that expensive
Raspberry pi community is huge with this new zima board you don't have support like Raspberry 😂
My man, Zima board is x86 based. You can literally can run almost anything there. You don't need community support for x86 machine.
I remember a Raspberry Pi used to cost a lot less than that, I got a pi 3b+ for 60 bucks and saw a pi 0w for 10 bucks.
Pi 0w is more of an arduini like than a computer tho. You’ll barely run Linux on it, and it is usually pre-programed via other softwares
@@vizender true
Why have pi 4s become so expensive.
I bought a 4GB model when it first came out for £42 😂
they have stayed the same price, when buying from an official reseller, who are not even allowed to sell them for more than the official price, i might add!
i know that the company orange pi have an 8 core SBC and is violently fast
wtf 120$ is like the most expensive rb pi 5 8gb ram you can find in the internet, i got mine for 90$
What about pi5?
Nice endorsement
Says overpriced gets more expensive board....
8gigs with an amazing support on an architecture with almost no support for desktops at 100usd? thats cheap
Try the orange pi 5 plus 1nd in order to make it fair pick the same amount of ram as the raspberry pi
i dont see any heat sink on rpi , but zima has extensive heat sink, how can this comparison be valid?
