Just started racing in IMSA last week at Hockenheim in the GTP class. A few times I had lapp3d GT3 cars trying to fight me and not wanting to let me pass as if we were fighting for position. We're surrounded by stupid people.
How fight you? Take the inside line defensively? It could be that you're misunderstanding them, as a lower class it's safest to stick to the ideal line. (And sometimes lift a little to make the space needed.)
4 wide move at the beginning is every formula vee race from about 3pm standard time to about midnight. Thats the guy whos a second off the pace when hes alone on the track.
I'd find this a LOT funnier if I weren't constantly the victim of this type of crap on the service. If some of these people were being reported and then properly punished with suspensions, you'd see this a LOT less frequently... Sometimes I think Nim Cross gets paid to do nothing...
@@Khosumi yeah but the prototype was on rail and didn't get affected by the other guy. Like @dodgers89 said, could be a net code issue but still is an unrealistic behavior.
@@Khosumi I haven't used iracing for about 7 years. The cars seemed to get seriously damaged back then. Now the wing falls off on the gt cars and that seems to be all.
Nah it's the same, the GT3s have very little cosmetic damage (I assume manufacturers requested it), the mechanical damage is great. The only one easy to destroy is the Ferrari 296, don't know why
Nah it's just lag. Online games have a prdiction software (so the car you are racing doesn't have a 2 sec delay, you know how internet works) Sometimes that software doesn't make an accurate prediction and predicts there's gonna be an impact that breaks the suspension while in reality, the contact isn't that big. When it happens to you you don't notice
Some of the best, any other sim has even worse drivers. But in other sims the consequences arre different because ratings in other sims are not as prestigeous.
The way morons can't figure out how to rejoin without causing ANOTHER crash really drives me fkin crazy. If you crash, get out of the racing line, and BE PATIENT.

A lot of these are blatant sporting code violations that only made me physically annoyed.
Most people don't give a damn about the sporting code. Particularly blocking is pretty common.

It’s amazing that most of these happen in high class license races. Like people should know better by the time they are getting to these series.

Why on Iracing do wheels always reattach, surely if a wheel comes off it's race over. Some cars just seem to fix themselves.

I've played a lot of different sims - every one of them, without exception, has the same idiots doing the same idiot shit

iRacing has a lot of bad drivers (by bad I mean dirty) but not more than AC, Forza, F123, Gran Turismo or pretty much any other racing game/sim
