  • One major option lacking on most zero turn mowers is lighting. I don't think I'm the only person who pushes the envelope when it comes to getting my mowing done in daylight hours. It's especially bad in the early Spring and Fall when the days are short. The trouble is, the lights sold by manufacturers may only fit one model of mower, so the next time you buy a new zero turn you may not be able to re-use your light kit. And they’re not cheap! You could piece together the components to make your own light, but it’s hard to find premium LED lights online and it can be time consuming to install, especially if you don’t want to drill holes in your mower frame to get everything mounted. A high quality LED light bar can cure those issues.
    The ZT Magne-Light LED Light Bar is the solution to all of these problems. It consists of a premium quality light bar that mounts with magnets, a weatherproof control switch that also mounts with a magnet and a fuse protected sealed wiring harness that connects directly to the battery. Installation takes a couple of minutes, and if you change mowers later on, you can reuse the product…you only have to buy it once. It fits any brand of lawn mower and mounts on any metal surface. The ZT Magne-Light LED zero turn light bar contains everything you need to easily mount within minutes of removing it from the box. The light kit comes with a 3 year warranty.
    If you want a quick and easily-installed solution to the difficulty of using your zero turn after dark, Get the ZT Magne-Light LED Lawn Mower Light Bar which can be purchased here: asktractormike....
    For tractor owners who struggle with getting your work done before dark we have a new product. Some light kits mount to the roll bar and not all tractors have ROPS structures. Some tractors lack adequate original equipment lighting and there’s no way to upgrade to improve it. Then there are just some jobs that require more precision operation and are difficult to do after the sun sets. You could piece together the components to make your own light, but it’s hard to find premium LED lights online that are designed to be used outside and it can be time consuming to install, especially if you don’t want to drill holes in your tractor to get everything mounted.
    The Universal Magne-Light LED Tractor Light Bar is the solution to all of these problems. It consists of a premium quality light bar that mounts with magnets, a weatherproof control switch that also mounts with a magnet and a fuse protected sealed wiring harness that connects directly to the battery. Installation takes a couple of minutes, and if you change tractors later on, you can reuse the product…you only have to buy it once. It fits any brand of tractor, backhoe or wheel loader and mounts on any flat metal surface. The Universal Magne-Light LED Tractor Light Bar contains everything you need to easily mount within minutes of removing it from the box. If you want a quick and easily-installed solution to the difficulty of using your tractor or backhoe after dark, Get the Universal Magne-Light LED Tractor Light Bar at the link here: asktractormike.... That’s why you always leave the negative connection loose until all other connections are made 😁

    Mike. take the negative off first and leave it off till you are done messing around with the positive. As long as the negative is off, no issue if you happen to short positive to ground.

    I usually keep negative disconnected until i have the positive done and have tape wrapped on the handle.

    Off road truck lights and magnet mounts....
    Wonderful things
    You can put lights just about anywhere.
    I found a light bar that just fits inside the ROPS along the upper bar. Makes mowing at night almost like mowing in daylight.
    I put strong magnets along the wire, so it is easy to move, but stays where you put it.

      DISCONNECT ground... then do the positive, then do the ground.

    Try Leaving the negative off until the end. If the negative is connected when you go to install the positive it will start to arc and spark when installing.
    I’m sure you know that, probably just a brain fart. Keep up the good work with the tractor content.

    First rule: disconnect the negative from the battery, then connect the positive wire to the positive terminal, then connect the negative wire to the battery when reconnecting to the battery. No welding happens.

    I love your videos, Mike - but I have to say $240 for a 12v LED light and switch is extortionate. All the best for future videos -

    I think I would mount them on top of the roll bar instead of under the bar. On top would give you more clearance between your head and the light and the bugs that will be seeking the light.

    Mike, you could disconnect the negative terminal first but that would end the excitement.

  • @williamgaines9784
    @williamgaines9784 Год назад +1

    Always undo the negaitve terminal first, wire your device to the positive side, then wire the negative side, and THEN reattach the negative terminal.
    Do you know how strong your magnets are? I would hate for that light bar to clunk me on my noggin driving over the rough stuff I drive over. ~I see they are 50 pound pull on the web~

    If you leave your negative terminal disconnected until you finish wiring up the positive, you can avoid the fireworks show.

    I like most of tractor Mikes stuff but I had a terrible experience with this. Magnets failed on open smooth ground, ended up on the ground and broken.

    How about magnet lights that are to go on the side of the loader arms so the lights are above the bucket or whatever you are carrying in the bucket or on forks?

      Good question ❓

    • @TractorMike
      @TractorMike  Год назад

      That might work, I think one side will have hoses/hydraulic lines in the way of mounting a light on the inside and possibly clearance issues. A lot of front end loaders have a welding bead down the top that would prevent the magnets from holding. I like the idea, I'm just not sure how you could make a package that would fit the bulk of tractors that are out there.
