I love watching the young people sing and play music, but as an older senior citizen, seeing a band made up of people past their college years that still love to perform is mighty encouraging. It's awfully well performed, too.
Frank Ticheli came to my University and conducted this in my concert band! We didn't practice enough and hadn't mastered it though. These guys crushed it! This is such a fun song. My bandmates and I commented on the part where the water gets a bit strange lol.
I am absolutely blown away by the meaning this work brings, and the sheer power that makes this work so wonderful. Dr. Frank Ticheli is a mastermind, and this ensemble must've felt honored to premiere this piece, let alone being in the presence of the man who wrote it. BRAVO!!!

I played under the baton of Richard Floyd this winter. He is an amazing leader and director.
