I love the idea of ypur survey! That said, I would recommend making some kind of easy to reference sheet for fans to glance at and pick from there. Otherwise, only the most dedicated will bother to look up the cards. I'm guessing you'll get about a quarter of the responses without it.
This just became my new favorite channel for Marvel Champions content. Your comments are well thought out and your delivery is smooth. Some other channels are kind of over the top with their enthusiasm and excitement and I find that off putting. Subscribed. 😁
Amazing video as always. I've been waiting for a 2nd copy of Shadows of the past for a while. It's my favorite way to ramp up difficulty and have scenarios feel different with different heroes.
I’m really not a fan of standard 2. They just feel like boring number boosted versions of the original set with some of the cards like total annihilation going way too far. I can see a number of these cards leading to auto losses especially solo. Gives me galaxy’s most wanted vibes in that regard. I imagine most people will use S2 a few times, get frustrated and then never use it again. Expert 2 is a bit better though I’ll probably just shuffle seek and destroy in with standard 1/expert 1 and call it day. I wish S2/E2 had been focused more on giving a different kind of challenge/experience rather than just boosting numbers and adding surge and incite. More seek and destroy type cards and fewer Dark Dealings/Total Annihilation cards. Still the pack is worth it for the other modules.
I agree 100% with what you said... and on top of that they made most of those really punishing encounter cards to be "Peril" making it even worse if you planned to save a treachery cancel for them... I think Peril in some of those cards is totally unnecessary.

Hi! I'm excited about the yearly awards :) The survey is pretty hardcore though, having to research which cards came out this year and comparing all of them, in every aspect O_O
Don't feel you need to know every card either! It's your opinion and you can pull simply from your experience. Also, Hall of Heroes has a great index of the cards where you can click on a pack and see all the cards in it. That might help narrow them all down!
Today I fought him with the Venom ally card from Sinister Motives. If I'm gonna get extra cards every single turn, I may as well give them something to return the favor.
I believe one of Kangs main schemes spawns the nemesis minion and the new Shadows of the Past in Standard II has a pair of boost icons, which the original does not. Nice review, not my favorite scenario but I agree the included sets make it a must own.
Not sure if anyone said this yet, but you can now mix up both standard 1 and standard 2 into 1 pile and pick 8 random cards to make a......... standard 3. just a thought.
We played The Hood for the first time on Sunday night, 4p game on Standard. Quicksilver/Protection, Doctor Strange/Leadership, Nebula Aggression and I was Ant-Man/Justice. We played with Standard II, but kept Formidable Foe in the box. We also didn't used the Expert cards. We beat him fairly quickly compared to how long we usually play for, and we all pretty much ended up at full health. Quicksilver Protection helped with this alot. He also never made it to stage 3 of his main scheme. While it wasn't the most difficult scenario is was fun, and had to some interesting moments. I think everyone enjoyed it. I think the next time we play The Hood we'll choose the 'State of Emergency' modular set as the first one added, seems thematic and I think it would make for a fun game.
Great video as always! Have you had any fun or interesting hero matchups against Hood? Like trying Star-Lord with his ability catered to encounter cards.
I love that the modular sets can key off other villains/Modular’s like ransacked armoury with zola or city wide crisis with red skull. However we still don’t have it in the UK I think
Thanks for the video, this is the first content for MC I will skip. I don't mess too much with modular sets (I like playing the scenarios with their recommended ones) and definitely no interest in Standard/Expert II (surge and more surge is not fun to me). I just swap villains if I want easier/harder play.
Should have shown A sides of main scheme cards. Or as least touch on the fact that that's a main way modular sets are added in (unless you did and I missed it).
So much content to play, I fear Hood as a villain will not see as much play. OTOH all the modules have me very excited. A perfect way to freshen older content. So overall I give it a B. Less interested in the villain more interested in the rest of the stuff he comes with.
Hi Dylann... My interest on this pack ranks as follows: 1. New modular encounter sets. 2. New Standard ES. 3. New Expert ES. 4. The scenario itself. Overall, I think this would end being a must have for all MC's "serious" players. Cheers!
I would like to see more unique scenarios with new mechanics. That is the only problem i have with the game: Too many similar villains. (I havent played The Mad Titans Shadow yet)
Rise of Red Skull is a great value, and provides a good variety of solid scenarios, as well as Hawkeye and Spider-Woman. It’s relatively easy compared to the other two big box expansions. Green Goblin is another great value, as Risky Business is a unique, if somewhat gameable, flipping scenario, but it shines with a second scenario-Mutagen Formula, which has seen more time at my table than any other scenario. Mad Titan’s Shadow is a solid pick, and probably the number one recommendation if you really like Campaign play. The campaign was really smooth and fun. The Hood offers incredible long term value, as it comes with a metric ton of modular sets as well as standard II which you saw in the video here. Since modulars will have more long term value and may see play long after the boxed scenario is retired. Kang is an incredibly fun and thematic scenario pack, but I’m not sure it’d be at the top of my list if you play true solo most of the time. If you play a ton of multiplayer though, it’s AWESOME. If you feel like the game isn’t challenging enough, and really want to step up the difficulty, then Galaxy’s Most Wanted is what you’re looking for. It’s incredibly challenging, but has some really cool theme baked in-especially in the second and third scenario.

There's "SUMMONED BACK" which look everywhere for your nemesis minion. But is only a campaign card from MTS.

I’ve just recently got this game, I love it. Once I decide I want to buy some expansions for it, which one would you recommend first ?
