  • This is a tutorial to help in replacing A/C Heater Blend Door Actuator in a Dodge Charger. The A/C Door Actuator is located in three places within your dash board (1 in driver side, and two in the passenger side). This tutorial will show you where to locate the devices in your dash board. I been quoted over 1000 to fix this clicking sound. However, I was able to fix this issue with only 30 dollars. This tutorial will work for 2011, 2012, and 2013 Dodge Charger vehicles.
    Here is the part from autozone:

    Good Vid. Fixed mine in 1 hour max, from removal of glove box to reinstall. Quick tip, the bad actuator will click so you can simply touch the actuator and feel the thumping without having to disconnect and determine which is to be replaced. My fix was on a 2011 Chrysler 300, same set up.

    A four minute video. Dealership quoted up to $2000 dollars for me saying they needed to take out the radiator in the engine compartment. My clicking noise comes on when I turn on the heat or AC. But even when the engine is off and it's parked, it still clicks randomly. But sure if that's killing my battery but gonna give this a go. Thank you

  • @davee8162

    He pointed out three but theres actually 4 total. 2 on drivers side and 2 on passenger side. You have to pull the drivers panel under dash to see the other 2 better. Thanks for the video I happend to have the worst one to change on the drivers side way up in there to the right of steering column. A micro ratchet bit driver helps a ton with these.

      Shows how dealerships rip you off every time just had a tire pressure monitor replace one went out said I had to replace all four ....warranty paid for it....... but for real?.. now my actuator is clicking even when I'm not in the damn car.

    Thanks for the video. I changed one in my 2010 Challenger which was on the drivers side one of 2 there. Strictly a feel and work job, no way you can see what you are doing. Much harder than the one shown in this video. This job took me about 5-6 hours and I have all kinds of tools. Like he says if you have to change that one god bless you. One stupid broken tooth on the cheap plastic cluster gear in that actuator is what causes the problem.

    I fixed my problem with the clicking, but I still get like a tightening noise almost like a rubbing plastic noise. I think it’s also and actuator near the center console. Would it fix that? Also I noticed it does it the video as well

  • @jerry8667
    @jerry8667 7 лет назад +1

    Just replaced both actuators on the passenger side. One was bad but I figure the other would not be far behind. I recommend removing the one nearest the center of the car first and before replacing it remove the other one and replace it. This will give you a little more room to work. In this tight space every cm helps.
