    X-FORCE #10
    Writer: Ben Percy
    Artist: Joshua Cassara
    Publisher: Marvel Comics
    X-Force #10 Review
    via weirdsciencemarvelcomics.com
This week’s X-FORCE #10 came with all the fixings: intensity, action, tension, conspiracy, speculation, graphically violent illustrations, and thoroughly detailed art from Joshua Cassara. Together with Percy and the rest of his team, X-FORCE #10 continues to be one of the best X-books, if not one of the top books at Marvel Comics right now. To anyone starving for good stories, especially after the COVID-19 Comic Hiatus, grab X-FORCE #10 and put this series on your pull list. The story was detailed, fast-paced, and actually gave legitimate answers while toying with future plot endeavors that could inspire some downright interesting tales to come.
    EMPYRE: FANTASTIC FOUR #0
    Writer: Dan Slott
    Artist: R. B. Silva
    Publisher: Marvel Comics
    Empyre: Fantastic Four #0 Review
    via weirdsciencemarvelcomics.com
As an Empyre prelude, this issue was bullshit. As a Fantastic Four issue, it was okay, yet forgettable. There was some fun to it, but it ended up feeling like Dan Slott only wanted to get the Kree/Skrull boys with the Fantastic Four and ended up forcing it any way he could. In doing so, he made the Profiteer look like an idiot in her first appearance and told a disjointed story that was laughable. Yea, I was laughing at it, not with it! It did look great, though, thanks to R. B. Silva’s art.
Dan Slott gives readers a goofy Fantastic Four issue that did nothing to get me excited for the Empyre Event. Fans of the Fantastic Four may have fun with it, but I can’t see anyone talking about this after a week or two. If this is what Empyre is going to be like, count me out before it even starts!
    SUPERMAN #23
    Writer: Brian Michael Bendis
    Artist: Kevin Maguire, John Timms
    Publisher: DC Comics
    Superman #23 Review
    via www.weirdsciencedccomics.com
All in all, I enjoyed the art in this issue, even if things are a little blocky and cartoony, but I think that this works for this title, but as far as the story goes I was disappointed in Superman because once again, he is the least interesting thing going on in his title. Hopefully, that changes now that Xanadoth as been set up and established and brought the fight to not only our Man of Steel but to Doctor Fate as well because I need Superman to be the best part of his book and that hasn't happened in a long time.
While you do get an interesting new villain for our Man of Steel to go up against in this arc, a large portion of this story is just recap for what's been going on since Bendis took over the Super books and while some will appreciate the sympathetic look at our hero as he recalls what's been going on, it just left me underwhelmed. The art is decent overall, but I need more from our title character in this book.

X-Men Orgies are literally the worst part of HICKMAN REBOOT. It rubs me off the wrong way everytime. I don't feel interested and it is actively betraying how these mutant characters are originally meant to behave. There are several other flaws. I simply want the REBOOT to end at this point. It already got ruined by Marvel

I am several issues behind on the x-men. I was really enjoying it so far, even though I thought they had gone a little crazy with the number of titles. But, I am going to read these as soon as I pick them up this week and, if it is as trashy and ridiculous as it sounds here, I will be dropping all of the X-Men stuff including those by Hickman. I am down to almost no Marvel books. I am tired of this nonsense. I stayed on longer than I should have because the books "looked good" because of the artists. (In most cases)

some of it is good; but the couple of pages dedicated to a Jean and Wolvie frolick was totally cringeworthy, both completely out of character. They had a lot more respect for each other in the books i used to read 20 years ago.

Superman taking "therapy and counselling" about his life from a guy who is probably half his age is the most dumbest thing ever. There was no point in the meeting. I had a laugh at the fact that Bendis doesn't get any character he writes. Bendis is fucking dumb. DC Editor's are taking a dump on their main character.
Empyre: F4 did not add anything significant. Dan Slott is Bendis 2.0 in the making.
Edit: Don't do it, Wes. Save your son, and let him read Superman when Bendis gets kicked outta DC.

I have bought less and less of new Marvel and DC comics in the past 5 years. They don’t want to entertain and give me my escapism I used to get from comics. But I haven’t given up once in a while something new comes out that impressed me. I buy more trade paperbacks and older single issues that are more enjoyable and cringe free.

I miss the 90's, when I could read the dialogue from characters and not have my mind wander to what other heroes they must be having sex with. Call me prude, but when it comes to superhero comics, any thing other than sexual insinuation should be left on the table unless it's Black Label or Marvel Max. People that want that stuff should just read internet fan fiction.

House Of X/Power X serie is arriving in my country this month and i don't will buy.Marvel / DC could stop making these boring events and create one that questions what is the relevance of moral fiber and classic heroism in nowadays.Because it seems that every modern writers do not know the meaning of these values that made us fans of these characters years ago anymore.

I gotta admit...I didn't know what to do with Empyre and honestly I have decided that I am just not going to get on board. I was wondering if it was going to have any tie-ins to Knull but, it doesn't seem to be. So, at this point I will continue reading Thor, Venom and the X of Swords story because it seems there is a chance it will tie in to King In Black. Yes, Dan Slott's Red Goblin story was fantastic but, based on what I hear there is not really much more that is classified as good when it comes to Slott.
Now when it comes to Superman...it is such a shame that this is what is happening because the end of The New 52 and the beginning of Rebirth when it comes to Superman is just brilliant! Seriously, how does this happen?! Thanks for all your insight.

I dont think it has anything to do with being a prude. There's a time and a place for orgies. Lol. Wow, I typed that. Anyway. Like yall, my issue is it being between Wolverine, Cyclops, and Jean. Wanna bring in new characters and do a slow build up to that and it be a B plot about discovery or something... I'd tolerate it. But this just proves to me that most comic writers are just fan fic and slash fic writers. That's it. Zdarsky is my favorite writer at Marvel currently. But I hope he stays away from big events. Those just seem to ruin most writers. As for Superman, until another writer does that book, I wont discuss it. Lol

I feel like the weird things going on with the X-Men would play a lot better if they just saod the quiet parts out lound at this point. When you can't tell if these characters are deliberately being written out of character for the longterm purpose of the story or if they're just being written out of character by people who don't know or understand them, you have a problem. The story for Huckman's X-Men is really interesting in concept, just acknowledge the fact that something is deliberately off and that something isn't right, otherwise it just looks and feels like the story doesn't understand or care about its own characters which kills reader unvestment. As you would say in journalism, stop burying the lede.

I feel like there's a ton of creativity in the X-books right now, a lot of range, a lot of different ideas. And Hickman's writing in particular doesn't seem to pander to readers who are only interested in super powers and explosions. You guys just seem to focus on themes that turn you off.

#10 was a terrific conclusion to a story I wasn't terribly find of. The last 2 or 3 pages just felt out of place to me. 🤷‍♂️

Thinking Critical I’ve been enjoying the whole run tbh, it’s been fun to see our heroes get killed in different ways. I feel like all the books are building to something. I think they could turn up the volume on the story a bit but it’s still a bit early days so we’ll see what happens. I really hope they start showcasing more characters throughout the entire X line. I want more obscure characters we haven’t seen yet to.
