  • Golfers were out at Valhalla on Wednesday, making their final preparations ahead of this week's PGA Championship.
The par-71, 7,609-yard course is hosting the major for the fourth time with two of the three previous winners in the field for this iteration: Tiger Woods (2000) and Rory McIlroy (2014); Mark Brooks won in 1996.
When Woods and McIlroy won, they were both ranked No. 1 in the world. The current top ranked player is Scottie Scheffler, who tied for second in 2023. Scheffler is coming off a three-week break as he goes for his fifth win in his last six tournaments.
LIV Golf's Brooks Koepka is the defending champion, having won last year at Oak Hill - the third time he took this title.
