@AddictiveFishing hey Captain Blair, I noticed the Skyway bridge in the background and I live in the area. I was wondering where these flat waters are specifically. I don't have a boat but I would like to go out to a place like this to wade at least!
was that the sky way bridge ? and where u guys are would a 24ft pontoon boat b able to go in the flats like in this episode ? or would it spook the fish ?
Hey Capt Blair whens the next time your gonna fish tarpon springs FL? I fish north anclote a lot where u were sight fishing snook and the gulf harbors area. I fish that deeper ledge a lot on north anclote and let my bait drift through, besides grunts and croakers whats a good bait to use at that depth thatll gurantee me fish?
there are a few 3 and 5 mile reefs, no wrecks though. i usually fish the 10 or 20 mile reefs though, although i caught my biggest red at sandkey park, 22 pounds and then a 15 pounder
ok i found it on google maps... thanks i appreciate it... are there any other places around the area where i might find a good cobia bite? and what are some lures you would suggest over at archie creek?
What size hook did you use for the red fish and cobia? I was just at Chokoloskee (thousand islands area) and fished up TONS of catfish and a few bonnetheads, however there was this ONE monster cobia that got away from me but after 2 mins of fighting the hook just came out. :(
Hello Captian, I was wondering if you could give me any tips on kayak fishing on the tampa bay flats? I have your flats blue rod with a size 3000 Sabalos reel, Im a big fan.
when I try to cast my line doesnt go very far should I use a heavier weight / bait? live shrimp is my current bait... I guess 3/16 weight is not enough. Using a Shakespeare Alpha rod from Wall-mart.
you do any fishing around destin, or fort walton beach do you have any suggestions of a good place for reds in fort walton? i just caught a 21 inch speckled trout in fort walton with a 6 inch finger mullet i wanna catch a red i saw a monster 3 foot one right at my dock but he would not bite what should i use for bait?
Hey im headed down to tampa bay tomorrow and I will be there for 8 days and im looking to hook some reds, trouts, and snooks, I will mostly be fishing from shore so what do you recommend for lures or bait, I was thinking of trying a d.o.a deadly combo rig with the shrimp in white, and I have some spooks with green on the back and white on the bottom do you have any reccomendations for lures??
hey captain blair i am a tampa resident of davis island and have boat access to all the tampa hot spots.... unfortunately the only success i ever have fishing is wading at mac dill air force base out in the flats for reds and small trout in the inlets... i was wondering if you could fill me in on some tampa spots that you have had success at and what you used in those spots... i noticed you said fort desoto park and i will try that out... any suggestions? maybe something around davis island?
hi capt blair, i just bought my first boat and i was wondering if you have been fishing near clearwater, fl? I go under the gulf blvd bridge which is near sand key park. Do you know any good wrecks or reefs (fishing spots) up to 5 or 6 miles? much appreciated.

There are a lot of prop scars in many areas of Tampa Bay. One of the worst areas I have seen is outside of Robinson's Preserve. I would not be surprised if we end up like the east coast lagoon.
RUclips has almost exclusively taken the place of my TV watching, largely because i can avoid the ad interruptions. Until the ad interruptions finally take over RUclips, which they no doubt will, No more Addictive Fishing for me. It's too much like TV, and while your content is OK; for now, you have too much uninterrupted competition that is just as good, for me to have my fishing fun interrupted several times per video.
Thumbs down partner 348... i totally support people like Blair who LOVE what they do and DO what they love. Also gives GREAT tips... all for free. WTF dude!?
2 great fisherman on one boat.
they both make great videos and you can learn alot from both.

@cadillac2003cts We have never done a show in Naples. If I'm that far south, I usually go to Marco Island or Chokolosky.
@AddictiveFishing ok thanks did you get a chance to fish for salmon

for other lures or rigs??
Silver Mullet
Capt Blair can you catch cobes on the wrecks in Tampa
Is 12 15 pound line good
@baseballa839 Cobia is not a targetable fish in Tampa Bay. You can catch one if you see one. Throw DOA CAL paddletails at Archies creek.
what reel werte u using
I caught a cobia on a D.O.A shrimp last year
prop scars are all over in the very upper tampa bay Mobley creek and most are crabbers that i see.
Blair Wiggins vs C.A. Richardson, their home waters, best 2 redfish wins, with a bonus trout?
search for "Stars & Stripers" on our page.
14:00 huge school of fish, not redfish, but mullet.
whats the closest to shore u can catch cobia?
Ok good for you
@nlim001 why would you want a ray?
