Arena of Valor heroes have a lot more personality compared to Honor of Kings. AOV fleshed out the backstories of the characters a lot better in my opinion. I felt like I actually cared about the heroes that I played because I knew more about their lore than just how they played. But with HOK, I don't feel any connection to heroes at all. The skins in HOK may look cool and flashy, but that's about it. AOV is more memorable to me, both characters and the world itself. I can enjoy the game even if I'm not actually fighting on the battlefield. I don't have that same feeling with HOK. With Honor of Kings I just feel like it's business (ranked games) and that's it. This is why I've always been more interested in AOV.
I play Both, so this My opinion on Arena of Valor vs Honor of Kings. 1. Design Hero Hero AOV's design is much more creative, much more elegant and good than Hero HOK's design. 2. Skins There are a lot of AOV and HOK skin concepts that I like, so I think I like both of them. 3. BGM Music I prefer AOV over HOK 4. Gameplay Actually, in terms of gameplay, AOV is more complex because there is a rune system, but in terms of item build it is simpler than HOK. More than that, AOV has a "cleansing" support item which removes the hero's CC effect, which in my opinion damages the meta of heroes who have the CC skill itself. Whereas in HOK there are no runes and no CC effect removal items, this makes Heroes with CC in HOK very useful and often picked in matches, so Gameplay in HOK when you play you will really have to estimate your hero's movements because if they are affected by the effect CC in HOK is a fatal mistake. 5. UI and Features HOK wins hands down from AOV when it comes to UI and features. There are many very helpful things in HOK especially for players who prefer to play alone. For example, chat translator, players can choose the role they want to play before searching for a match. This means that almost no players are selfish in choosing heroes in HOK, there is a very responsive customer service feature if you have problems in the game and HOK supports various languages and even voice dubbing. various countries. 6. Graphic For graphics, HOK is much better than AOV. This is because there are differences in graphics engines, HOK uses the unreal engine while AOV uses Unity. Actually, ever since Tencent had a conflict with Garena AOV, I've started to worry about AOV's future. And finally as a result of this conflict, Garena AOV decided to transfer more heroes and skins from HOK. At first I liked it but then I realized that "this is too much", it's like Tencent invited AOV Players to move the game to HOK and it seemed to work. I played Garena AOV Indonesia and I felt the effects such as searching for matches taking a long time and global chat not being as fun as before. Moreover, the regeneration of new players is also slow and doesn't even seem to exist. This is why Garena AOV did not protest to Tencent if HOK was released on the MSPI (Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Indonesia) servers. What's even more painful is that almost all of the big esports teams in the MSPI region have disbanded their Team AOV divisions. Now AOV survives in 3 regions, namely Vietnam, Thailand and Taiwan. As we know, Tencent made AOV for the global market, but unfortunately AOV is only popular in 3 regions, this made Tencent give up on AOV and make its fortune by releasing HOK globally.

Aov runs smoothly. I’ve played luban or yorn in hok and he doesn’t feel smooth. It feels clunky. Yorn in aov feels smooth and not jerky or clunky. The items in hok is well rounded and robust, where as aov it’s a bit simplified. If aov can have some of the items that hok have, it’ll be a different story. The user interface in aov is better. Example, the guide distance that shows you how far your marksman can hit. That doesn’t exist in hok. Tanks are very dangerous in hok compared to aov due to the items that they have. Dragon rage gives 6% of life as attack damage. Most tanks will have at least 10k of life, which means a tank can get 600 attack damage.

Level Infinite controls the global version of AOV. They do updates and refresh the codex, but they don't put much effort into keeping people's attention. It's not just EU. It is all LI servers. With HOK being released and having all the good player engagement, AOV has taken a hit.
HOK put a real hurt on the AOV player base. But, once the new wears off, I think it'll be a split between versions. TImi and Level Infinite have no business sense. They need to just communicate what their plan is before both games are abandoned to apathy and frustration.
I've got an AoV bias for sure, but imo none of those points actually make AoV better than HoK. In terms of designs, yeah i agree that AoV did a better job, however since now HoK came out globally, i think the designs of the new characters are gonna be directed not only on chinese audience and I don't think it's fair to compare the game which was intentionally oriented towards chinese market with westernised version of itself. Give it sometime, im sure they are gonna cook with some of the designs in the future. Also, characters wise HoK has way more heroes than AoV and the most important thing is HoK is not bound to 3-button chars like AoV is. That allows more variety in terms of heroes

I miss the old AoV 2017-20 Dark Fantasy theme and design now is more like a childish and Anime base even Chinese design btw Im so lucky that my country still a mainstream (RoV)
Is the eu sever desd?
Level Infinite controls the global version of AOV. They do updates and refresh the codex, but they don't put much effort into keeping people's attention. It's not just EU. It is all LI servers. With HOK being released and having all the good player engagement, AOV has taken a hit.
Isnt AOV dead, when I tried to play it I didnt find any matches
Dude your arguments are so bad and pointless 🤣🤣🤣 let the people play what they want…btw it seems that you just dunno what to show on your channel here ^^ no ideas huh ? 😢
