    First bought my 06' VTX 1300 cruiser back in July of 2020 for my 42nd birthday. I immediately caught the bikers bug and wanted to start purchasing project bikes to start learning how to work on them and resell for a profit. That is when I ran into my 98' CBR 900RR FIREBLADE. I had every intention of selling the bike... but after I had dropped the VTX 1300... I started riding the FIREBLADE and immediately fell in love.

    After I fell in love with my 98 Fireblade, I began wanting to enhance its quality. The bike runs like a beast but has some cosmetic issues. I began searching on line for some of the fairing mounts that was missing, and found pretty much what I needed... along with a bunch of other odd and ends for spare parts. Just found an excellent mechanic to help me with the partial restore, because the bike doesn't need a complete overhaul. I can't wait to see what it looks like when I'm done. Should be ready in April or May.

    I think changing out the 16 inch is a mistake. I have a 94 and love the quirky 16. Granted tire choice is limited but the Bridgestone is a good tire.

    Hey Ben, it is what people consider to be high kms on a bike, but it really just depends on who owned it, how it was ridden and how well they maintained it. It's hard to say without seeing the bike, but I guess the first things you'd want to look and listen for is excessive cam chain noise, but that's still not a huge problem. If anything the higher km might give you a bit more bargaining power.

    Hello, just discovered your RUclips site and wow, I had no idea there are people like you that exists. I have a 1999 Honda CBR 900RR in stock form with very few modifications. I would like to continue tracking the bike but having a difficult time finding tires for the 16 inch front. I currently use Bridgestone s21's but would like something better. In your opinion, do you think going to a 17 inch front is better and if you have done it, do you have instructions that really spell out in how to do it? Thank in in advance.

    I live in Brazil and would like your help as a cbr. in 2019 with which I will be happier, a 900 year 98/99 or a 929, or a 954, or a 1000? I love all of them, but always an update makes me think if the carburet is still worth it, if it will not bring problems and high consumption of gasoline. I also think that a 2005 CBR 600 forward might be smarter because it already has 120 horsepower and 8 injector nozzles. My profile is going strong on weekend roads. Thank you. hug

    Hi question. I just bought new RUBBER intake boots for my 97cbr900rr the boots are oem and 16211 mas E00. It said 93-99. I cannot get it to fit with ir without clamps tride Vaseline i looked online They also list another part# 16211 mwo 000. Its from 93-97. Im confused. The old boots suck the carbs right on and tight. New boots dont. If you think there seated and on. Its nothing like old boots. You are not supposed to b able to pull carbs off with one finger. Cant do that WITH older boots. Help?

    • @HoonTV
      @HoonTV  7 лет назад

      Razor Blade depends on the exhaust. Ideally a jet kit and air filter upgrade will combat the extra exhaust flow. In saying that though if you have a dyno tuning shop near you that's the best option
