I mean, great, and I saw this because the original open had Lin Brehmer at the beginning who just died so a lot of people (including myself) are rewatching that open.
And your premise isn't awful, but, IMO should have...
1) Figured out another local iconic NYC radio deejay to segway into a...
2) Actual song about NYC, and not just repurposing Sufjan's "Chicago" for NYC.
Just IMO. Then it would have been more what you wanted to do, and been more authentically NYC.
