So, I will start by saying I'm a Buffalo fan, and not a band wagon fan from the last few years, but a real, hardcore fan for over 40+ years and I like Joe Burrow some much better than I ever liked Baker Mayfield, maybe that's rought to say, but it's just how I feel, Mayfield just always rubbed me the wrong way. I look at Burrow and as layed back as he is in this interview, I think he is a hyper competitive guy that works hard and isn't condescending or ego driven, he's just a great QB, he is the QB that is the face of Ohio, sorry Baker.

There are generational talents gifted with insane physical talents at qb, Pat Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Justin herbert. Then there are generational talent gifted with an insane understanding of the game (football iq) and leadership, like Brees, Brady and Burrow.
One of the better interviews I’ve seen. Really enjoyed hearing about Joe’s routine and mechanics. A lot more goes into prep for a game than I ever expected. When watching Burrow in a game his drop back footwork and getting set for the throw reminds me a lot of Tom Brady. One question I thought of during this interview is, does he do anything in particular to minimize blocked passes at the line of scrimmage. Thanks again!

Young quarterbacks watching this.. pay attention to how he talked about things like balancing out his feet so we can get the ball off faster. Many years ago I was a backup at Stanford and while I didn't become a star or anything I at least understand the position and as an undersized guy with a very average arm I had to develop all kinds of little things to get the ball out more quickly to even keep up with fast receivers so take it from a guy who at least knows something that there are more ways then you think too step up your game. Working on your throwing motion, improving your balance, playing with grep, and so forth. You don't have to become faster necessarily or somehow develop a better arm when you can chip away at other things that will make up the milliseconds you might get in ways that you just can't overcome due to your genetic profile. And remember, milliseconds can make the difference between making it and not making it. I was happy to at least play a little college ball but what a life to be an NFL quarterback! And, love this Burrow!
