After dozens of plays of the full album, Kevin's Car has become the song I anticipate most. It is hopeful from the first notes. Paired with Jennifer, we get a hazy teenage tragedy where maybe the listener is the naive one. I want *everyone* to know this song.

This album makes Re-Animator look very average. Massive return to form. :)
The chorus reminds me of "Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" finale -- very much a similar story to the song's and definitely the same throughline as the album as a whole (love, relationships, technology)
"and while my minds erasing i'm falling into you" is very Eternal Sunshine

Revisiting this in a new light after losing somebody, and more than anything else, it feels like a message. Like some closure I never will really get. Not even the first time this band has gotten me through some incredibly tough things

This is probably my favourite EE album mostly because not only is the music amazing but it feels the most put together like the music has a very distinct sound with the added technology sounds added to the songs to go with the theame also I love how it almost feels like it is telling a story with the Kevin character.

I think it's because at first you may not get too much from the song, but the more you listen to it the more things you notice in it
Some of the verses in Tally Hall's Good Day is just about that, "Looking through glass eyes / Give it a few tries / Nothing goes right in its time"
