- Backpacking to the summit - A local ski hill allows backpackers to enjoy camping on the summit during the summer months.
It's a great introduction to anyone interested in backpacking as they provide (at a cost) a lot of essentials at the summit, including food & beverages, firewood, isobutane canisters, benches, even restrooms!
I try out a new tent - North face stormbreak 3 and "Sleeping bag" by Grand Trunk. First impressions of both are positive, I'm excited to use them on future adventures!
Thanks for watching & I hope you enjoy!

Camp fires and cool beers… They are my favorites
Thank you for sharing.
Nice spot. Finally getting around to watching all the videos that have stacked up during my vacation. Had to start with you and camping with Steve first, my favorite Canadian camp channels.
Oh wow, to be mentioned in the same sentence as Steve is probably the best compliment I can get! Thank you!
Joe Robinet and Steve Wallis were such a huge influence on me getting out camping more. They're the 2 Canadians I watch the most
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
More of these please!!!!! 👊🏼
Yes sir! I think I'll be doing more backpacking in summer and leave the bushcraft shelter building for winter
Thank you very much for sharing ,looks like fun 🤗.
It was! Thanks for watching!
Nice video, friend. I was making a video with "beer" in the title and my search brought me to your channel. lol.
Great minds think alike! 🍻
Nice video, as always! That looks like an awesome place to camp!
It is! Great to see them using the slopes during other seasons as well
@@CampfiresandColdBeers yeah, I thought that was a clever use of the property when otherwise it would have sat unused.
I always love seeing how beautiful your part of Canada is.❤ I definitely appreciate the color coding aspect of higher-end tents, there is nothing more annoying than realizing you're trying to do something backwards. I just snagged a used MSR Habitude 6 from REI's used gear shop, and will definitely be the weirdo pitching a tent in the park to make sure it's complete.😂
Haha! To be honest, I must have turned the rain fly around 3 times before getting it right, THEN noticed the red corner.
Thanks for watching!
Great video, man!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing!! I am trying to book for this summer. Was there any best site in terms of scenic view that you noticed?
Thanks for watching!
In general, I think the sites after the chalet were nicest. You also get far less foot traffic from the other campers walking by (not that there's much to begin with).
I've stayed at site 8 or 9 previously and you're sort of set up around a chairlift. Not terrible, but it wouldn't be my first choice.
I don't know if I mentioned it in the video, but I was at site 4 here if i remember right. I'd have no hesitation camping there again.
Hope you have fun!
Just 'Scotchguarded' a NF SB 3. Golden / Asphalt. Shows promise. Im calling it the ' beach house'. Save $ 😄.
Nice! Haven't taken the time to test it out much but so far it's been a great tent!
