It is imperative to place a standard for every teacher to achieve. My sister (Lisa) viewed it differently because she has taught for years and has adopted a system that worked in her classroom and for her adapting required a lot of time and effort. Nevertheless Lisa adapted and the children’s knowledge and testing that year showed significant improvement. Unfortunately, there are not many teachers, who are willing to put in the time required (common core) to teach those subject well.
