Truly, cops should make twice as much as these figures. They put their lives on the line everyday and have to deal with B.S. from so many ungrateful people.

From 1996 to 2022, FBI stats show officers who died in the line of duty bounced around between 76 to a maximum of 146, averaging 114.5 per year.
The number of law enforcement officers in the US is estimated over a 3/4 of a million people, 708,001 in 2022.
Police are paid more than most others on this list and yet only have invested a *few months of TIME* into training.
