  • During Kabbalat Shabbat services at Temple Israel (West Bloomfield, Mich.), Rabbi Harold Loss reflects on what people will learn years from now by reflecting on our present times.
Rabbi Loss shares that people will learn about killing was common in our time - in churches, schools, synagogues and mosques. In the Jewish section of these archives, Rabbi Loss indicates scholars will find the atrocities of the Holocaust and October 7, 2023.
Rabbi Loss then reflects on his Israel trip this month in which he will be with the extended Jewish family, his third trip to Israel since October 7. He hopes in this future world, that the terrorist tragedy of October 7 will be looked upon with the hostages released and peace.
In closing, Rabbi Loss hopes that we will also see that peace, prosperity and kindness do arrive for the sake of our children, our children's children. That the archives focus on the scientific accomplishments, the lack of famine and other positive progress. In present times, we are left with hard decisions - we cannot travel into the future but we must come together with love and support from each other. That we work hard to create a bridge of kindness, love and respect.
