- I decided it's time to upgrade some of my worn steering components on my bus. In this video, I will be replacing my tie rods, steering damper, and drag link. All of these components were worn and contributed to poor steering control.

Very informative and helpful video. Thanks. Not sure if it was intentional but I love the “How It’s Made”-like soundtrack lol
nice video. high res imagery, clear audio, easy to follow. thanks
Very good. Direct to the point. You did not waste my time
Full send!
My '77 Westy needs same. Thx for informative vid. Also, headlights so dim now can no longer drive at night. Been mostly in storage. Showroom, 125k on original engine. Time to stop being lazy with it. Thx for various vids!
Really helpful video, I need to do same to mine too very shortly
I just did this today, on my ‘76 Westy.
Very smooth presentation, succinct and clear. I have two new tie rids for myb71 bay, both are adjustable...do I need tonordervthe correct one?
Did you have to replace any of the bolts or hardware? If so, what where they and where did you get them.
Nice video
Russ, great stuff - where did you get your components from?
Cool video. Question , I just swapped my steering damper and I followed the picture on my book . Looks like you put it the other direction then the book . I can’t imagine why it would matter ? Do you think there’s a correct way to go on .
@@russwiththebus so i took my old one off . Seemed to be in ok shape still had a lot of resistance but when I swapped it with the new one it was a big difference . So I was really surprise how good it worked . I’m running fox shocks up front , 215 size tires and a heavier duty sway bar and I’m really happy with the drive . Super smooth doesn’t wonder and very little play on the steering wheel.
