I really wish there was a menu selection "date added" listing from most recent to oldest for music/albums. As this is how I can keep track of what I have recently added. I know there is a recent transfer but that is short lived and overridden whenever the next transfer happens.
I had this issue with the "Recent Transfer" list. What I did was create an autoplaylist and load it on my player, using MediaMonkey 4, to load any song added to my music library in the last 30 days and then sort it by album and track number. It works very well, and I can also extend the number of days if needed.

I just got an A55 to replace my trusty Fiio X3 Gen2 (great player but no Bluetooth capability). I've used a pair of Sony MDR-EX300 vertical in ear cans with Comply foam isolation tips for years and they mated very well to the Fiio as they do to the A55. After trying different combinations of DSP and Equalizer settings, I found that Clear Audio + seemed to give me the best results although the low bass was a bit to heavy for my tastes. I ran across another video here by a guy who liked Clear Audio + but also felt that it was Bass heavy. He experimented and using some of the DSPs was able to produce a W shaped equalizer curve that exactly replicated the Clear Audio + sound signature but he was now able to adjust the EQ settings more to his liking. I did the same and the results were excellent. I always considered my Fiio's sound to be top of the line but the Sony actually now sounds better to me, no mean feat. Music has more body and the high ends are smoother. The R version sounds interesting but all I'd really want is the enhanced Equalizer at this point.
Hi friend, I don't know much about audio, but I think you're right about the bass being too heavy. Could you help me equalize it as you say? As I said, I don't know much about audio or curves, but I would like to improve that part of the sound with the equalization you mention.
Thanks for sharing the tuning tips. I've got the Europe version, as you said, the volume was very weak only 3.5mW per channel. After the upgrade I can use NW-A55 with my Phlipps Fidelio X3 listen to the HiRes Musik. The native DSD sounds very sweet :-)
Heh, as I bought A55 last week, I used my old A35 with MrWalkman's firmware to add DAC to it. Tested with LCD-1, can't really find any significant difference in sound signature, if any. But, as you said, it is useful. Also, as no one mentioned it, I wonder how he decrypted those NW_WM_FW.UPG files :-)

1. Yes, long song titles will automatically repeatedly scroll. 2. You can find out which song will play next by going to the Play Queue Screen. To get to it, on the Playback Screen swipe to the right and it will bring up the Play Queue Screen. There you will see a list of the songs in the Play Queue. From there you can see the song that is currently playing, and which songs will be playing next.
I didn’t keep count, but at least 6 times. The installation and uninstallation is quite easy and stable. Just make sure you use the uninstaller within the zip file. I would like to hear your thoughts on the qudelix 5K as I hear it is better than the overhyped fiio btr5. As always great video, this will help many Walkman users ✌️
I had high hopes of the 5K. But its build and button placement is frustrating. There are no labels to distinguish what the buttons do, and there’s no manual in the box to review, so it’s trial and error. It’s a perfectly useable product, and clearly shows that if Fiio really cared about its products, it could have made an integrated app. Unfortunately, taking into account the issues with each Dac, and their similar prices, I can’t say one is necessarily better than the other. If you want the power of the BTR5 but the ES100 app, and build is not a big issue for you, then the 5K is definitely a good option.
Is the Fiio BTR5 really over hyped? I hear that people think it is a good product, that it works well, sounds good and is well constructed and easy to use. Does that amount to hype? Or is there some kind of extremely childish and boneheaded factionalism at play? Imagine championing a piece of consumer electronics. From what I saw the Qudelix seems more suited to enthusiasts who enjoy tailoring the device to their likes or needs. The BTR5 may be suited to those who want to just switch it on and enjoy their music.
@@NoThemeReviews the Fiio BTR5 and BTR3K both have an app with EQ, control of codecs and filters etc. In fact there are two apps, the Fiio music and Fiio control app. I don't think they refer to them in the retail packages which is a bit odd.
