Too bad Spyro's remakes were insanely unfaithful, rushed to fuck and missing content.. Plus had loads of different art directors so you had play dough textures and realistic textures mixed together. And somehow the flying and especially skateboard controls were worse than the originals, hell Sheila controlled worse too.
Maybe it's not as flashy as newer remakes, but Super Mario All-Stars giving a face-lift to 4 games in one package was amazing for me back in the day. I'd also dare say it allowed SMB3 to live up to its full potential just by having a battery save. SMB3 was so ahead of its time, it felt like a SNES game on the NES, so cleaning it up the way it did really went a long way. SMB2 also looked freaking gorgeous as well.
Remakes/remasters of ‘Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2’ are sorely needed; along with at least one sequel- but preferably numerous new editions, to that amazing franchise. 😀 The recent wave of great remakes has slightly renewed my hopes, that such treatment for the ‘Knights of the Old Republic’ series, isn’t completely out of the realms of possibility; I’m not gonna hold my breath, but I’m certainly keeping my fingers crossed haha. 🤞😀🤞
my only problem with this list is Starfox, just because its still called Starfox just with the console's usual subtitle added, dosent make it a remake it just makes it a new game in the franchise

Taking on the revamped battle system from Diamond, Pearl & Platinum, introducing new areas, recreating areas that were unavailable in Gold and Silver, and allowing for rematches with Gym Leaders and the Elite Four with better teams. They even integrated parts of Crystal into them.
Love the re2 remake but it's got enough flaws and bad changes (enemy removal, the plant monsters redesign) that i don't think it should have been number 1.
I think the best remake created is Resident Evil on GameCube. Some other great games not mentioned - MGS twin snakes, Oddworld new and tasty, Fatal Frame 2 Wii

The controls for Crash Bandicoot N'sane Trilogy were the controls for the 3rd game. CB N'sane Trilogy was actually meant to be played backwards, 3, 2, 1. 2 was easier if you played 3 first. 1 was much easier if you played 3 then 2 first.
My favorite is probably Call of Duty Zombies Chronicles, where they remade a bunch of old zombies maps from old CODs and added them in Black Ops 3. For me, when that was released, it was magical
I got spyro for Christmas last year and it was amazing. I never played a game in the series though that is probably for the best. I had fun and I beat it and now I’m a fan of spyro
How in the hell is the Resident Evil 1 remake not on the list? It's hands down the best remake ever as it improved on the original game in every way. As much as I like Resident Evil 2 Remake it was not a perfect remake due to the lack of proper A/B scenarios, zapping, and questionable changes to the story and character personalities I also hate to be that guy, but the Crash and Spyro HD trilogies are remasters. Even the developers consider them remasters. And Star Fox 64 was actually a reboot.
You should of mentioned "Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past". Updated graphics, quality of life touches and the redone script. It wasn't originally going to be released outside of Japan! Also there is "Mario & Luigi's Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions". A great remake with some extra content tacked on.

Baldurs Gate :Dark Alliance is available for PC now. Unfortunately I think they used the Xbox version to enhance, the camera still sucks.
