Ok I'm not a fan of the show. I did watch S1 which was, what? 10 years ago now? But I don't remember much about it. I heard not so great things about the other seasons so never bothered. So coming into this it was just a detective show, set in my favourite kind of setting (isolated, desolate, uninhabitable, snowbound, etc). And knowing Jodie Foster was in it. I also think they had a lot of balls in the air, and a lot of things they wanted to address and perhaps they bit off a little more than they could chew there. However I never found myself not enjoying the show. I agree that Jodie Foster and the actor playing Peter Prior were standouts. I wish the show had leaned into the supernatural elements more. The story of the scientists fate serves one of the main plot lines the show tried to address. But really I would have liked it to be something otherworldly instead Nice review.
