    Very psyched for this speedrun. I love the rating level setup based explantions vs. straight theory because you hardly ever face mainlines as a lower rated player. Excellent content from Aman once again.

      we're still far away from the main lines ( maybe around 1500 elo, it will happen more offen ). You see a lot of the worst lines in this vid and the best ways to counter attack them

    That one comment on stream is absolutely correct- these videos are way more helpful than courses, imo. Specifically because you start at such a low ELO. I feel like we lower rated players are too often overlooked. I also love this series because I can combine it with the Stonewall series to have systems against e4 or e5

    tamanov is my main weapon against 1.e4, so glas to see a speedrun on this opening, can't wait for when he gets to my rating (2000), and btw i've been playing Taimanov since 1200 elo, and Bc4 variant is VERY common until around 1850 rating, people have no idea that Bc4 is innacurate. over 1900 it gets uncommon and over 2000 it gets rare.

    • @Nabbottt
      @Nabbottt 8 месяцев назад

      White is very clearly lost here so there's no great way to defend, Ne4 might be the best way but even if there's no mate black is going to get the queen and the kitchen sink instead after Nxe4.
      Alternatively, Qxd4 gives an escape square for the moment but it's also obviously miserable after Rxd4.

    Aman, please seriously consider making this a chessable course. It would be free money... leave the speedrun up, it's a great adjunct to the course. Honestly better than most chessable video content. After watching 3 videos I'm playing it, got some wins already at my level (!)... I want the chessable but have to create my own? I want your official take on it. Others must be in the same boat.
    And... you're a GM! There are lesser Masters with good courses, and GMs that go into too much detail, I think your systematized approach will sell I think.
    BTW I have used Robert Ramirez's Counterblow, I really like that simplified, less variation approach. But I have studied that quite a bit, maybe know half of it quite well, and already I am probably getting as many wins with the little I know from your course, as with his KID. I am also getting success with white playing the English (reverse Sicilian).

    You’re really confusin me by constantly developing the queen side knight before the queen in this video. You did the opposite in the last video.
    Also, what’s the harm in playing a6 before Qc7?

    • @BillCypher95
      @BillCypher95 8 месяцев назад +3

      I think he said it in this exact video, he mostly uses the games here to show the whole setup and some common mistakes. I understand the games are less interesting, but the repetition helps at least me figure out the setup without much focus on tactics and specific variations. Also it's probably helpful for under 800 players to see common blunders at this level

    • @executivelifehacks6747
      @executivelifehacks6747 Месяц назад

      I like it... if you have kids at this level, or even adult beginner, common moves (blunders) are instructional.
