One of the most perfect songs ever written/recorded together with one of my favourite pieces of British film~making! What could possibly be better? Morrissey, Oscar Wilde,Camden,Stephen Fry and Jude Law!
"Your leg came to rest against mine, then you lounged with knees up and apart, and me and my heart, we knew" I could listen to that line 1000 times and it would still cut me up.
Some people might think I've committed a sin by saying this but this by far one of the best songs ever written by Morrissey in both his career with The Smiths and in his solo career. This video is solid!

It’s beautiful that you used this film to go with the song (or the song to go with the film), it’s perfect and heart wrenching. My favourite Morrissey song ❤️
"Where taxi drivers never stop talking, under slate gray Victorian Skies". How great is that turn of phrase? Everything in this song envelopes the listener in myth and mist. Like something from Proust.
My favourite Morrissey song. Genius. Well done, this video is incredible - very moving. 3 incredble men, and you are a fourth for creating this. Thank you x
"Your leg came to rest against mine, and you lounged with knees up and apart. And me and my heart, we knew. We just knew..." That lyric is so well put, perfectly worded. Know exactly what he's saying.
Beautiful fanvid!!! I once read somewhere that this song was based on the tumultuous love affair between Arthur Rimbaud and Paul Verlaine, who actually lived together in Camden Town at some point in their lives and yes, their relationship seemed to be closely akin to that between Oscar Wilde and Alfred Douglas
Lovely film, lovely song. Don't believe that Moz's falsetto has ever sounded better than on this track. The likeness of Fry and Law to Wilde and Bosi is pretty uncanny as well. Always wondered what Moz thought of this movie?
Esta canción es sublime, solo el señor Morrissey es capaz de hacerlo realidad. Un temazo dentro de un discazo. Gracias 👍 maestro. Saludos desde Argentina.
Drinking tea with a taste of the Thames, where taxi drivers never stop talking under slate grey victoran skies, lot's of my friends and family don't understand the magic and the strength of feeling i have had for the smith's and morrissey, melody and sublime lyrics like them, you can't get anything better. ❤😊
listened to Quarry to today...here in the bright, sunny skies of Los Angeles..and wanted to be under slate grey Victorian skies, with river tea and wet pavement. Very nice to see so many fans of both Wilde and Moz...amazing men.
@ThomasEdwardFreeman This is brilliant! Excellent work indeed. I love Oscar Wilde and Stephen Fry, and for this track I must say Morrisey got me =) Thank you for adding this work of art.
@ThomasEdwardFreeman Awesome video, awesome song, awesome movie. Not many fan vids have any sense of timing with the footage and music, can tell you put heaps of effort into it and it definitely paid off. Thanks for this gem. :)
Good god his voice in this song is flawless! It epitomizes the proud that would martyr itself and purposely cut one’s self short of the oblivions of Heaven if all the grey sky couldn’t go with it nor could he go before a debt was paid to those whose passing saw them ablaze in the darkness with a crowd gathered round
@ThomasEdwardFreeman i have never seen this version before, and you have reduced an old man to tears. Absolutely brilliant Sir, and saved in my favourites as number one. Wonderful.
@renzoc I totally agree with you, this is one of by favorites too, I love the sentiment (and Camden) no body writes as beautifully as Morrissey, Come back to Camden and I'll be good
The worst of Morrissey is still better than almost everyone else. Yes, he's difficult, he's a control freak, and he's more than a little paranoid, but, but he's also a genius more times than anyone else in music.
4:24 no shit! Who woulda thunk it? “I find that alcohol, taken in sufficient quantities, may produce all the effects of drunkenness.” Probably British dry humor.

Top 5. Easily.
I don’t know about that - it’s a solid outing though.
Poet laureate of our time.
The most beautiful song in the Universe. Love you, Moz.
Me too!
Morrissey is one of very, very few that can write and sing a single song that will pull every string of emotion. The movie Wilde was awesome!
2019 i listen to this song again and it still give me goosebumps. A legend with great song.
It’s beautiful that you used this film to go with the song (or the song to go with the film), it’s perfect and heart wrenching. My favourite Morrissey song ❤️

The best thing he has done since Last of the famous international playboys in 1989.

one person has never been to camden...
Let's not forget the great poet, Walt Whitman spent his final years in Camden, NJ. Wilde paid him a visit there. Fascinating.

@Jim Newcombe Obviously it's about Camden Town but there's always connections to be made.
Wow I didn't know this that's incredibly AMAZING!!

Why is this album not on iTunes or Apple 🍎 Music 🎼?
Does this version Camden even exist in 2020?

What is a "tile yard"? Is it something common in England?
@predictableoutcome33 * Morrissey
4:17 What does Morrissey 50 not out mean?
likely his age at the time the video was posted
I've always thought this was Morrissey's tribute to Wilde/Bosie...
Oscillate wildly
The father, the son & the holy ghost?
Did Jude Law play Oscar Wilde in this movie 🍿?
Carola Rodríguez Laborde who was Bosie?
you mean Morrissey of course....?
