i've never been to the oregon zoo and it looks like an amazing zoo, but a lot of zoos are allowing animals to roam around the zoo during quarantine when the zoos were closed. again, i'm not discounting oregon zoo since it's a great zoo but you shouldn't discount other zoos for doing it too

In this crazy World (while being totally against conventional zoos and anything even remotely related to meddling with what nature intended), I still appreciate places like this that seem to really care for these souls while sparing them a life of constant struggle to survive! Wish I could live in Oregon cause it sounds like really fun but I'm unfortunately stuck in Italy.
It must feel SO amazing for an elephant to be essentially weightless under water. Also, just wonderful to watch all these critters just enjoying the moment with their keepers cheering them on. :)
Any one know what kind of bird that was, enjoying the belly rub? Seeing elephants swim was a wonderful site to see. It's amazing to me they can float. All the animals were looking happy and well cared for. Their habitats looked so lush and clean. The animals with orange brown fur, ringed tails were so cute with their masked faces.
Nice to see how playful and interested they are, seems like they are in great care. The way the animals just trotted along outside their normal enclosure showed how much they trust the keepers and feels at home
Those delightful urban beavers are just the best to watch.. meandering through the office corridors! All the animals UK n this video are a delight to see. Thank you to every one at Oregon Zoo for taking such good care of all!
Thank you zookeepers for taking care of these precious creatures. I grew up in Portland and the zoo has come a very very long way from what it was 50 years ago. I don’t even want to remember what I saw. I’m so glad that we’ve learned how to better share our world with these animals and enrich their lives with more natural habitat and “field trips” to other habitats. 💕💕

That’s partly because they really work hard for their animals. AZA accreditation is very difficult to achieve and zoos like this one have to go well beyond just the usual.

I absolutely needed this! It's kinda gloomy here in Germany this time of year. After a week of mayhem it just felt good to see animals at play. Thank you for this Oregon Zoo. May your year be filled with returning visitors desperately looking to get back to nature ... and watching elephants smashing pumpkins.
Well there's all kinds of categories for awards, like best mud bather, best ice cruncher, best treehopper , most unique beautiful look; I give that to Sharpie hands down! It would be hard to decide on the cutest and the biggest rascal. I continue to look forward to your videos as one of my favorite channels. It helps me feel connected to my home state Oregon.

I’m assuming because people don’t like animals to be kept in Cages, they should be free in nature as God intended. I hate the “it brings awareness” excuse. The Zoo makes money if not they shouldn’t be subsidized.

Most of this must have been filmed during Covid-19 lockdown when the zoos were closed and the keepers would take the animals out for walks. I loved that. ❤️🥰
I never go to zoos- I don't like animals in captivity but since it hasn't been changed yet - this is by far the best zoo I have ever seen. Thank-you for doing a far better job than many.
I love how situations are created to expose wildlife to creatures who would never experience what they're seeing in the wild. A penguin would never see an otter in their natural state. Good on you zoo people!
What a beautiful zoo !!!!!!!! The openness and how the animals get to roam around even with the zoo keepers.
