Moon Hooch is back at KJHK to showcase their groovy electro-horn sound. They blend elements of jazz, funk, and pulse-pounding electronic dance music with uncontainable eccentric energy.
This is just utterly insane to me. The moment he sings into the sax's mic. I am in awe. I am glad I get to exist on this little planet at the same time as you guys. Holy shit.
I keep wanting to "like" this again and again as I'm watching 😂 One like simply does not show how much I love these dudes and this performance is top notch!! Moon Hooch forever!!!
Just had James over, and he recorded a ton of improvised tracks (on drums, synth, and some soprano) with the band Big Blitz (the saxophonists are also Mike Wilbur's students). Was honestly one of the best times I've ever had. Hate to self promote but I have been slowly posting them as I go through the individual songs, and think people reading this would be predisposed to enjoy them. So glad Moon Hooch did another one of these sessions btw. Have listened to the first set where they played Happy Song in the relative minor key so many times now.
Is it possible to get some tracks from James? Non commercial use only. Loved it when Moon Hooch visited Andrew Huang and recorded some sax samples wich Andy than posted for free download.
@@Blitz289581 Awww! My bad! There are indeed minor variation based on .... things'... err... fleeces (?) :D (btw thanks for the vids, I had never seen them)
Nice. I just bought a Wenzl Mcgowen signature SYOS baritone saxophone mouthpiece the other day and its coming in soon I hope it sounds good. I mean obviously, this video clearly shows that is does lol.
I know it’s been 4 years since your comment, but I just bought one too and it’s amazing! I play in a moon hooch cover band and it definitely works the way I want it to.
Oh snap disregard, I think you're right. They have a roadie that is Mike's sax student, and he plays that exact same Cannonball sax, would bet it's his and that Mike's 10M needed a fix. He had a second, gold-plated 10M last year, but has sold it already.
MMMMMM YEAH!
Noooo, leave them alone, you offended Leo P when he helped them and you were ungrateful
Gameblack YT what? I doubt there’s any beef between them, they’re all good friends.
AAAAY LUCKY CHOPS!!!
Gameblack YT lol no
@@TheDeafStingrays ofc i find you here lol

That second track w/ the vocoder is INSANE, I hope they incorporate more of Mike’s vocals on the new record. Also the transition to red sky is tight!
I love this freaky ass music
Need some love!

Cant wait for that new album!
Also Red Sky never disappoints, such a good head banger
Love the new songs! Can't stop listening to "Need some love"! Great work as always guys

listening to this before going to see them play tonight, if these songs make it into the setlist Too Much Hooch is gonna make everybody go crazy 😎
Update: they played this whole KJHK set during the show, the room was packed with people dancing, moral of the story is always go see Moon Hooch
Why does wenzl go through so many clothing phases like damn

Gwen Berson watch the wwbw performances or interview

Gwen Berson no problem, the more I can spread the word about their performances the better. They're all great!
@@schmollll for a second I thought they were talking about James' clothing choices :-p

I want the sheet music for too much hooch. It’s such an awesome song
Most of the beginning is just B natural down cromatically to like G (following the rhythm) its pretty crazy to play though
Cool! Thanks
I think mike switched sax on red sky
🇮🇹🍷
Anybody knows what cymbals James is using?
Mike is using a cannonball saxophone!
That looks like he is still using his Conn 10M to me.

Gang of GreenHorns
Oh! I didn't know that.
I was particularly surprised that Michael had a student.
@@user-pr9oq1se8g Check out Big Blitz, both saxophonists are his students, and they're so good.

Ok !
I don't like how he holds that dinosaur...
