I'm still waiting on my fingerlings(June planted) which should be ready at the end of September as the vines are still green. I water all my plants every morning.

Fingerlings are so small, what are they used for? Are they really worth the effort?

I don't think they are worth the effort if you're trying to grow your own food in a small space. You can find them in fine dining establishments. They are tasty, but I feel they are a wasteful use of space when space is limited for growing.

I got mine at a huge discount in June, when all my Kennebec potatoes had already been pulled. I knew these would be done at the end of September, so if you get them cheap they'd be worth it after your main crop is off. It'll just add to your harvest.
