Blueprint is the strongest joker by nature of essentially being every other joker you own. You just only get one double at a time, but you still essentially get double value from all your jokers as long as their effects trigger at different times.
The only potential downside of blueprint is that you need other jokers, and you get effectively less variety. But because that doesn’t matter as much as it maybe should in a balanced game, it’s just a very strong and a dopamine hit when you pick it up. It’s also very fun to play with it to figure out the optimal ways to use it with your current build
I’m just going to say this here because this is the only community that will care about this, but the vibe created by this game’s ost is _immaculate_ and the upward arpeggios remind me of a certain super mario world rom hack vaporwave song (most famously in Mario’s Mystery Meat) but in this nice videogamey style, and the instrumentation and the game itself reminds me of Super Paper Mario’s aesthetic, but a little more adult: very colorful and magical. This game wouldn’t be SO GOOD without such a nice, loopable, song, and its variations. That has nothing to do with anything, but yeah :)

I had a surprising blueprint movement interaction one game. I had cartomancer and certificate. Interestingly enough the description of the two states "when blind is selected" and "when round begins" respectively. If you move the blueprint right after selecting the blind then you can activate both jokers twice.
Wait so you have like less than a second to move the blueprint??

I had just finished a blueprint burglar run yesterday, and now this gets recommended to me, serendipity xD
I got an amazing run recently with a double Polychrome DNA + Blueprint which I used to duplicate Holographic Glass Red Seal aces, plus Campfire and Cartomancer. I lacked a good Chips joker but this was already so absurdly powerful (+ I managed to pick up Seltzer as well since I got a few negative Jokers) that the thing that ended up stopping me after going Endless was a Boss Blind that debuffed the suit of most of my aces.
The most important part of this strategy was absolutely moving Blueprint around. I was using Blueprint on Cartomancer when selecting a blind to get more Tarot cards to sell, then moving it to DNA for the first hand to top up on aces wherever I could get away with it, and lastly moving it to Campfire for the big Flush Five hand to copy the Campfire x-Mult effect. I couldn't have taken that run nearly as far without it. I forgot to move it a few times and my hands immediately went from something like 200M down to 10M just because of Campfire not getting doubled. That was a wild ride.

Really enjoying the short form run summary type vids. I think they work especially well for Balatro since runs can sometimes feel a little deterministic if you get a good early set of jokers. I also had that blueprint interaction with burglar recently, felt good moving it about for max value!
