Absolutely LOVED this! Baby girl stop overthinking the content, we just want YOU, beautiful, goofy, spotty, lovely, gorgeous, wonderful, chatty you. Don’t worry about your cute throat bump, don’t worry about your makeup, don’t worry about your outfit, don’t worry about ANY of it my love. Girl if I cared about any of that I wouldn’t have been here for the past 10 + years. I’ve subbed from multiple channels. I’ve grown up with you from so many stages of my life. I literally did my makeup as you were doing yours right now. You’re complaining about looking like crap LOL you should see what I looked like 😂 We just love YOU. We never need perfection. Same with Alfie (mr aesthetic 😜) but legit ain’t nobody got time for that right now. Just do you in the way that you can and we will support you because we are here for you AND Ottie. We have been here at every stage of your life.

please don't ever feel like you're "not enough" to film yourself when you have not done your make up or washed your hair. thats exactly what we would enjoy to watch, the real non-glam life, just you and your little family doing everyday things.
i think most of us will agree, in the past 2 years we've not really worn that much makeup or washed or hair more than 1-2x a week, we are all the same just copeing with the hard times :)

1st time mum here of an 18 month old boy and expecting our second. As everyone says, things do get easier but totally get you… the first 8 months for me were so so difficult, no time to myself, barely time to eat. And exactly the same, when I’d have a minute sometimes I’d just chill in a dark room because I was so sensory overwhelmed from all things baby! Xx

Zoe, the best advice anyone ever gave me in regards to motherhood was this. Do the things you have to do while they're awake, so you can do the things you want to do while they're asleep. That was the absolute key to making time for myself in those early months.

  • @laurapenrose4200

Massive mum hug, well done for not just talking about how you’re feeling as a new mum, but for actually showing us and not glamming up before the video. It’s so refreshing to see someone with your audience showing it how it really is in those early days. You’ve done a great thing for yourself and all the new mums watching your content. I 100% understand how you feel, and I can promise you it gets better (I’m 4 years and 2 kids into motherhood!) Firstly you do become more comfortable with your face, and secondly when that time does come back around where you get more time for yourself, you appreciate it so much more!
I’ve found I’ve perfected my quick make up now, a great bb cream and quick brow/mascara and I’m comfortable enough to leave the house. Your still in the early stages, and they are so fleeting, absorb every moment because trust me, you won’t be looking back and thinking about how you looked at this time, you’ll be remembering how teeny tiny Ottie was.
    You’ve got this! Xxx

I had my baby in September. He is my 4th. He is definitely my hardest baby. I PROMISE YOU it gets better! The time you’re in right now is just that weird stage. They aren’t still a newborn but definitely aren’t a toddler. Ottie likely isnt crawling but IS rolling. If she’s like my son, she may not have any kind of sleep schedule. My son sleeps AMAZING at night. The flip side of that, he’s up a lot during the day. Since I breast feed that means he needs to be stuck to me like glue the entire day. Therefore, doing ANYTHING is a race against time. It gets better. They create a little schedule for themselves (or with your help) and you’ll get more and more done. You are amazing, Momma! You are doing such an amazing job. After 4 kids I always tell myself THIS in the midst of overwhelming moments: “Soon these kids will be out of the house and this chaos will instead turn to an eerie silence. How do I want my kids to remember me?” You are doing great. This time will pass. Doing our make up, showering, running to the store will not be the things we remember. The moments we spent looking in our sweet tiny baby’s eyes will be.

Everything you said about having so little time for yourself and when you do you use it for other things 100% true!! My little boy is 6 weeks old on Wednesday and I have put makeup on twice since he has been born lol. A good self care day is when I'm able to get 5min shower and brush my teeth. Everyone jokes and loves telling you about the lack of sleep but no one told me about how you will have no time for yourself. It is soo hard being a mum and in the same breath so so wonderful!! ❤ love your videos Zoe xx

I’m a first time mummy of an 18 month old little girl. I struggled for a long time as a teen mum trying to go back to the 18 year old I was before I had Ava, but it gets so much easier as time goes on. You just have to take your time and remember you grew and birthed a baby and even though you may lose yourself a little bit in the beginning, it all comes flooding back as your baby gets older xx

Everything you're going through is completely normal. Priorities shift massivley when you become a parent, and not everyone will get it. My appearance was definitely one of those that changed for me. You can't expect yourself to be able to come straight back to doing the same level of work and or slip straight back into the same lifestyle you were in before you had a child, Baby steps. I have a two year old and I'm still taking baby steps.

I Can’t believe I found your video today… I am so grateful for your honesty. This has comforted me so much. Our babies are close in age, my girl is 4.5months old. Just last night my husband took a photo of me with my daughter and I looked at myself and saw 3 cm of regrowth hair that has not been straightened or wash in a baggy oversized dress and it hit me how little I’ve been spending on myself. What you were saying in the beginning of this video is exactly what I was crying on the shoulder of my husband last night and messaging to my girlfriends on the phone you truly do put yourself at the bottom of the priority list, I’m a first-time mum and my husband would take my daughter so I could shower and do my make up colour my hair, however when I have those moments all I want to do is sit on the couch and turn RUclips - on like I did right now and saw your video and have a moment just a drink some water and just… sit.

Currently having a hot bath relaxing and watching your video while my baby sleeps. My small win of “me time” for the day!

I’m a first time mum as well and I totally agree with everything you said. My baby boy turned 3 months last week and I can’t believe how fast time flies. My maternity leave ends on Monday and to be honest my heart is breaking just thinking about it. I wish I could spend all my time with him...
Don’t worry about your content Zoe, I think it’s fair to say that we just all love to watch everyday life vlogs because they’re feel good and relatable.

FTM here with a 5 month old little girl and feel the exact same as you! It's refreshing to hear you're in the same position as I felt really down thinking other new mums have it all together with routines etc. So thank you for sharing❤

I can TOTALLY relate as Im currently watching this video as I'm rushing to do my makeup before my 9 month old wakes up 😅 it will get better. I'm a "bath every day" type gal and once my baby started sleeping in her own crib with an earlier bedtime I havent missed an evening bath since.

1st time mum of a 2 year old and expecting my second. Same boat, completely freaked about having a second while I’m still trying to figure out life with my first. The first 6 months were the hardest and I haven’t been able to go back to work 100% until she turned 18 months. Don’t worry about figuring it out; you’ll get there, you have been through a lot and need to take the time. You have always put us first it’s time for us to put you first🌹🥰

It’s amazing how priorities change when we become a mum. Obviously we knew things would change but I feel the exact same with the lack of effort put into my own appearance. My twins are two and before they turned one I reckon I could count on one hand the amount of times I put a face on! Between having zero time or just couldn’t be arsed it barely happened. Even now I just do the bare minimum! Such an adjustment but you’re doing amazing! Xx

I’m a Mum who is now 56 and my 3 babies are all grown up now! My youngest who is 21 first showed me yours and Alfie’s vlogs and I’m addicted! You are both so gorgeous and wholesome- Otti is the luckiest baby having such loving kind caring parents like you two! Keep being yourselves like you are as with your fame & ‘fortune’ you are still the same beautiful people, grounded and relatable to so many. Take care and keep your vlogs coming! Xxx

I had my first baby at the end of September, I’ve followed you forever but enjoying your vids even more now we are at the same life stage! I totally agree about not prioritising yourself. My partner took our baby to visit family on Sunday for a couple of hours and I cleaned the whole house and didn’t even sit down! It was only after I thought.. if he does that again I’m going to watch some tv with a cuppa! Ps Ottie is so cute! Xx

I relate so hard!!! I'm a mom of an almost 4 year old and another on the way in March and well, let's just say, for me at least, it DEFINITELY got easier once my son got a schedule and a routine but, at the same time, even almost 4 years later, finding the time to get ready and doing self care still isn't easy. Being a mother is a full time + more job and it can feel lonely, feeling your best is really hard to come by on a lot of days, you're constantly exhausted and some days (most days) you're sitting on your couch with a messy house and 0 energy to do anything at all except take care of your little cub. It's A LOT, especially for a new mom but no,
YOU ARE NOT ALONE MAMA!!! You're doing such a great job and you're such a good mom!!!! I'm so proud of you!!! Over the years, watching you grow and evolve and become a mother is so exciting to see and I'm so happy I get to he here to witness it.
    YOU'VE GOT THIS!!!!!!

First time mum to a 15 month old and I totally get it! Although I do have a little more time now that he is happy playing alone whilst I put on some mascara or have a coffee! It doesn't get easier because new challenges and stages are always surfacing but you definitely get better at managing your time and somehow fitting a weeks worth of tasks into 1 day 😂 being a mum is definitely the same as being a superhero 😂 you're going great! ♥️

Also I understand exactly what you mean about the scrolling on your phone and the time for yourself lost, but you’re doing great! It’s totally normal to feel like that, just make sure you get in some self care too mama ❤️

You're doing a really great job Zoe! Take the time you need to navigate things! Sharing stuff online changes when u have a kid, especially when ur kid isn't able to communicate any boundaries cuz shes literal baby. As much as we love watching your vlogs, your family's privacy and sanity is more important. Whatever u decide, we'll still be here to cheer u on!

First time mom here with a babba 7 weeks older than Ottie, we are still in the same boat as u really, I spend more time playing with her and doing the chores than sorting myself. However when my partner gets home from work he feeds her her dinner and I go in the shower and sort myself out a bit. Once Ottie starts on food it will be so much easier for u I promise x

1st time mum 27 yrs ago my youngest is 18 now I have three children two sons one daughter, my last two were born in the same year one in January and one in December that was hard , the things you have said is totally normal it is never easy , things will get better but you will have different milestones with her , as I did, now my last two are leaving college this year going into the big world , my oldest son has 6 daughters of his own I know crazy hey , but I love being a nannie , I will say thou out of all my children my daughter is the one that was the hardest when younger but they all had there moments and still do sometimes, it never really ends , I felt I got more time for myself when they hit high school, as they were more independent, but you are doing fantastic don't put yourself down at all , ottie is beautiful xx

I’m in month 4 of my 4th pregnancy (probably the last) lol. We popped them out close together so it hasn’t felt like I’ve settled into a self care routine in 5 years. I’m looking forward to finding ways to pamper myself and workout this fall and get my body out of the constant fluctuations. It’s all worth it!

You are doing your best! In Canada we get a year long mat leave so I always feel badly for women who only get 6 weeks or have the guilt feeling of not having it all together. I’m super supportive of women /parents who go back because they love their work and want to be there and want to balance their life but I would never ever expect people to have their stuff together the first year of having their first nor anytime after when adding kids! Let’s be supportive and kind and encouraging!! It’s so simple! Zoe you are doing a great job!

I love that you love Australian MasterChef! I’m Australian and watch it every year. I’m really liking the new hosts that changed a few years ago. We do have a junior MasterChef too but there has only been 3 seasons. If you can find it, watch the most recent one from 2020. It’s was so cute and those kids are such great cooks for their age.
