Geweldig uiteengezet.

Great video. I read your study of 635 patients and how successful PSMA PET was at having positive results by PSA level. You stated that 38% of the patients with a PSA of

I know this is 2 years old and I plan to look at other presentations, however - question. Can the PSMA-PET scan obviate the need for an old-style biopsy of the prostate?

@@tumalo710 yes we did. It is hard to get in canada so we went to Mayo Clinic. It was all clear so a big relief. Since then we did focal therapy by IRE in Germany.

@@sandraredmond4812 that’s good news. Glad to hear that. I actually got my second PSMA yesterday in Seattle. I had my first in February 22, then a prostatectomy in May. But now my PSA is on the rise again so I need salvage Radiation. My oncologist just wanted to make sure I had no cancer outside of the pelvic. And I just now got my results. No cancer detected on the scan. So I feel I’m really lucky. Probably start Radiation in late November. I was a 5+4 Gleason 9.

@@tumalo710 my husband is also Gleason 9. 4+5 . We opted for focal therapy with IRE as it can be done again. Can also be done after prostate removal. And after radiation. Where are you getting your treatment?

@@tumalo710 what kind of radiation will you get? My understanding is that a combo of surgery and salvage radiation is very effective. It’s all very stressful. Hope you have some good support to deal with the anxiety and uncertainty of it all. Helps to focus on things you can do such as nutrient rich diet. Daily exercise. Staying positive. And having some light hearted sense of humor does not hurt even though there is nothing funny about prostate cancer. But its important to not let it bring you down too much.
