    The camera that made David Lynch fall in love with shooting digital. (He shot INLAND EMPIRE with it.)

    I bought my first 3ccd handycam after watching the movie inland empire of David Lynch, I really liked the 3ccd sensor aesthetic and I heard he used this cam for thar

    I have my VX-2000 and PD-150 on the shelf behind me. We wouldn't be here today, if the old school didn't pave the way!

    Hey Brandon, great video! Do you record your clips to clear click?

    • @brandoncameracollection
      @brandoncameracollection  Год назад +1

      No I used to but I found a vcr/dvd player with a FireWire in port and it has hdmi out so I convert that to usb and it connects to my laptop. I have a video about it on my channel.

      Haha yeah super hard to ride though because it doesn’t turn unless you tip the the board left and right. Kind of like turning on a snowboard

    Sony PDV184N DVCAM 184 Minute Tape
    Even this one?
    Thank you sooooo much!
    I have a shoot next week and would Love to use my PD150

      I actually didn’t know there we’re specificity made DVCAM tapes 🤔 as long as it’s a mini DVD tape you should be good. And since the pd150 is a DVCAM I think the footage should look better with a DVCAM tape.

      Yes you can try an xlr cold shoe mount. I’ll leave some links for you to check out.

    Shooting with an interlaced camcorder, uploading 60p on YT, yet the samples are 30fps. How come?

    Do you know if you need a 30-37mm step up ring for a dvd810? I’m getting a 37mm fisheye for it and someone said I needed step up rings

    • @brandoncameracollection
      @brandoncameracollection  Год назад

      Yes the dvd810 has 30mm filter threads on it so you will need to use a 30-37mm step up ring to use a fisheye on it

    hi brandon i’ve been doing research into getting a sony fx1 along with a clearclick 3.0. Im not sure how the video transferring would work since the fx1 takes S video and only the yellow AV cable. Is there any way you could give any clarification

    • @brandoncameracollection
      @brandoncameracollection  Год назад +1

      So if I was you I would try and get a Sony MRC1. It is a recorder that records through FireWire and it records your footage to a CF card. You’ll just need a cf card reader for your computer to recognize it. I should be getting one myself here in the near future and I will be making a video on it. But because the fx1 is a HDV 1080i camcorder the footage is not going to look very good through the clearclick since it only records analog signal which is what av and S-video is

      @@brandoncameracollection understood, thank you so much. looking forward to the video with the mrc1

    Hi. Do you know what dvcam tapes I can use? Or… do you know what external recording device I can use? I have a shoot in a week and am hoping to use this camera. Thank you!

    This microphone mount was a piece of rubber that eventually melted over time. Fun camera though ❤

      Yeah unfortunately they are hard to find original replacements for too. I enjoyed the pd170 more though
