- Final fix :the power supply/chargers three pin connectors Ground pin fell inward from pushing the chargers port plug in ..Inside the controller the ground pin fell in was out of place causing the unit to short and not operate ..I opened the controller glued the pin in place not the charge charges and works..
You are correct sir. Most of the time it is a bad connection, Use some contact cleaner and then some dielectric grease on the contacts and wala! Test all cables with a continuity meter and reinstall after cleaning everything. It is sad but true that many mobility repair shops are worse than some bad auto mechanics. Makes my blood boil...
Catholic Seymour I have another video I found out what was wrong with it I took a part of the controller and the wire at the charging port one of the pins fell in out of place and created a short-two pins were touching each other which was telling the Computer that the charger was in whereas then the chair won’t move so I glued the pin back in the place and it fully works now- she had company come over there that sold her the unit they charged her $150 to look at it only to tell her that it had a short somewhere that it’s not fixable her only option was to buy another one which is really sad because it didn’t take me much time to fix this I just needed time to get to it-and it was really such a simple fix when you find it-basically threw out $150 out the window With those people I would never deal with them again
People don’t repair much of anything anymore. They are just glorified parts replaces. Many times making uneducated guesses on what might be wrong. Oh let’s replace this at the customers expense... nope that was not it.... how about replacing this part, again at the customers expense. Yea, makes my blood boil. It’s why I fix everything myself.

The same thing happened to my wheelchair and it turns out it was in Lookout mode which means when you were moving in or doing something you held down the power button and that causes it to go into lockout mode now all you have to do is push the horn button while it's strobing two times and it will come out of lockout mode and you're good to go
Did you figure out how expensive these parts are? lol My dad's charging port is partially melted so I'm looking at bypassing the charging port somehow. Those controllers are outrageously priced.
My son left my Jazzy chair out in the garage in the cold and now it won't charge do you have any answers to my problem if so be greatly appreciated it's the only means of my getting around thank you
G when I connect my battery charger to the batteries it's just automatically jump to green light is I have a problem with my pride jazzy 6
When I plugged up the charger to this chair I might buy it strobes when the power is on I thought it was strobing because it was charging you can turn the chair off with the charger on it and it doesn't strobe the chair works fine the charger got hot because the fan doesn't work because he's letting it sit there with low batteries the chair is basically new I was wondering about the strolling and how you're supposed to have that toggled when you're charging it

I'm having a problem with my jazzy select chair.when I hit the power and the chair comes on.i try and go into reverse it shuts off.this happens at the worst times.i'm wondering what the problem is.

Final fix :the power supply/chargers three pin connectors Ground pin fell inward from pushing the chargers port plug in ..Inside the controller the ground pin fell in was out of place causing the unit to short and not operate ..I opened the controller glued the pin in place not the charge charges and works..When I would move the wire around the out of place pin would move then the chair would operate until the pin moved again grounding out causing a short...a company came in charged my mother in law 150 to look at it they did determine it was a short but was not fixable ,they plugged the charger into the charging port and the unit worked for a little while while it shouldn't telling me that the issue was in the controller module handset..You can get the part on ebay CHEAP and just replace it..

Any idea where the wires that come into the joystick control are supposed to connect to? I have an older Jazzy Select chair that the harness was pulled out of the joystick with the connectors attached. The local store wants $500 for a new joystick which I would rather not pay. Thanks!
Never go to a mobility store first. If you really only need the controller/joystick go on Ebay and find one for less than $100. $85 is good, cheaper is better. Make sure they warrant it and have free returns.
Will the cable unplug from the joystick?
No the pinned end of the cable is molded into plastic inside the arm controls but does unplug from the main computer relay under the seat in the front the only way to replace is to buy the cable with the armrest controller sometimes you can find them online cheap used eBay Amazon
The wrench light on my chair keeps coming on how can I fix myself
I've never seen a wrench light..Please post a video in my comments so I can see what it is doing..

Sir, my Jazzy 1121red lights are blinking. I put in new batteries, new onboard charger and relay. Charge it many times, yet the three red lights are still blinking. Any suggestions.
Check the pin holes where you plug the charger into the chair if they have moved and came out of place and touch each other this will happen
@@Videogamerdaryll I am buying a chair that is like new I'm telling you it's not been used much but that doesn't mean there's not anything wrong with it the batteries went down eventually where it's at it didn't quit he charged it for about an hour and a charger got hot because the fan isn't running it charged up a little bit but I know that he doesn't know how to charge it and I don't either. I don't have the money to start buying parts for this thing after giving $400 for what is basically a new chair. He turns the chair on plugs in the charger and the lights start strobing as if it's telling you it's charging? Then you turn the chair off and it charges the same I was just wondering if you're supposed to charge it with it on or off or does it matter and if you do stick the charger in with the chair on it strobes I was thinking that was a battery charge indicator also am I right or wrong or do you know
I charged the chair on 220 volts and it didn't work yet. How can I fix the malfunction?
Are you sure you’re supposed to charge it on that voltage most chairs are 120volts
Read the manual for the proper voltage to be charged otherwise if you’re not charging it by the right you will burn it out
Do you mean you hook your charger up to 220? I know there is a switch for Europe and America but we don't have the same 220 they have a neutral and a hot where are 220 are too hot legs.
If you were to flip the toggle switch over to 220 and have the right voltage it should charge 26 or 27 or 8 volts whatever it takes to charge for volt batteries or two 12s in series
