I have no stake in this, I am not a world traveler. I rarely leave my home due to illness. That being said, the one small red phone on a support pillar versus a huge “Nothing to Declare” point does definitely seem like a a trap. I say this having watched these going back to shortly after the Millennium, and they still haven’t changed it at UK, it is a trap, they don’t want you to declare or they would have made it far more visible. Exhausted travelers aren’t going to be alert enough to see the phone, and if they did, they would assume a red phone was reserved for security purposes, red being an indication not to touch.
I don't travel either but I definitely agree with you, I've seen the red phone argument been done in several airports on this show and I agree with the passengers, it's ridiculous and definitely a trap.
To be honest, there is no excuse, the guy could have asked an officer “Where can I declare the over 4K tobacco I got over the legal limit” cos by now, everyone knows it’s 200, you can ask on the airport before flying, you can ask also if you’re not sure when you land, making visible or not, makes no exception as they should know they have to declare the goods. As someone that has to fly for work, everyday, I heard this excuses in the airport, even us that we sell Duty free we tell the passengers about the limit, and some of them buy 2-3 extra 200 packages saying they already know
If the same small sign read “Come and claim your GST REFUND worth $1000” there would be a stampede. People may not see the red phone but they can ask an officer. We are all accountable for our actions.

What is behind this cigarette confiscation priority? I also believe the small red phone on the pillar is not a fair warning. It is a trap.
It's not nice for a husband blaming and exposing his wife hubbies like that in public places.
I thought it was BS that they found she was not a smuggler but yet they sent her back. Made me want to believe what the husband was accusing that officer of.
I don’t think the lady understands why they are in forcing the law now
1 out of 100 Trucks they may Catch. The Cost in England is so Big that tere are many ways to Enter Drugs etc. They have to have more Undercover in the Countrys were it comes from!!!!!!!!
The real question is why ppl want to smuggle cigaretes .Tobacco demand is what is called unelastic.meaning a smoker will smoke no matter how much you raise the price up to a point. The poorer the country the less expensive the cigarettes but they are the exact same quality its only the taxes that raise the price to astronomic levels and the question is how come ppl in US dont feel ripped of by their own government
oh we do
,500 a week holy cow . They do not smoke.
Im glad that I live in the US;so, I dont have to declare anything!!!
I have something to declare this country is a f****** mess
@@arlen1630it’s still so great in so many ways! I don’t know where you live but we have safe fresh drinking water , hot & cold, when i call for an ambulance they always were here in minutes- I have a good trash service, ac & heat in my home, we have good sewer systems etc. my neighbors are nice , the stock market is doing great, we really do have it pretty good here , even with some problems
Yes you DO need to declare things, even from state to state! You're not allowed to carry certain fruits or animals. Even with car travel this is done
you actually do.
Damn, how much do these people smoke over there?
50 or 60 a day3 packs that’s crazy
American rednecks smoke that
American tweakers do too lmao
Wow.. how much is 2 million cigs on the streets there? Geez
2 million times 13 pounds is?
wow!
They're going to celebrate the Cannabis seizure with going and using the drug alcohol tonight at the pub😮😢😭 what's the word I'm thinking of oh yeah hypocrites!!
Don't judge people by your own low standards.
@@jlw184 you're absolutely right alcohol has a positive effect on society. Nobody has any problem with drunk drivers killing people there's not organizations like madd AA. And then in California we have legal marijuana as soon as it happened. All crime went down across the board. Fact. Look it up for yourself if you don't believe me. Normal sponsored the advertising campaign showing the statistics on billboards all over Los Angeles. Terrible cannabis and my stupid opinions. You sure showed little uneducated me.😁
I don't understand why they destroy the cigarettes, why don't they just give them to local businesses & donate the money to charity or something??? They got them for free from the smugglers, seems they would want to earn the revenue from them. Sounds like a better idea to me
give it to local businesses? free goods for them, how nice! Let's distribute the narcotics and untaxed booze as well then?
200 doesn’t seem like very many honestly that’s a low amount it seems like bc that’s only 10 packs
She smokes 50 to 60 cigarettes a day???
This must be an old show?
Drugs😢
Y didn't they scan the bags in earlier shows. Please men pull up your pants. There is no one that thinks that looks good, except for those who do it. It's gross
Too bad that horrible fashion sense isn't a crime. I agree though it just makes ya look stupid
500 cigs a week? really
The blonde customs officer is soooo hot
if the cigarettes weren't so overpriced in the first place smuggling wouldn't be a problem. just saying
Ment cigo carton
The very small red sign & phone is not big enough for anyone to know what it is for!!! It looks like it is for the airport officials, not travelers!
Free the Weed
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊🎉😂❤❤😮
87kilos??😅
🦾
Let them have the cigarettes and focus more on the drugs and foods...
No way! Smuggling is smuggling and masses of money is lost to uk by cigarette tax avoidance.
I think the point was the crew was moving the cigarettes around trying to confuse the customs officer, it was obstruction so they took the cigs to make a point.
Cigarettes might have drugs too by the way
It's really not the fact that they are cigarettes, it's the avoiding paying the TAXES per pack or carton. That's a LOT of revenue
it's tax evasion. The drugs and foods are not normally taxed
Know that if you are black coming from or arriving from anywhere you will be singled out and stripped searched, especially if you properly declare nothing. So Sad the arian customs officers so overtly racist!
OMG 😂😂
these are all repeats post some new content thumbs down
The show is no longer filmed or aired, they're ALL going to be repeats
@@shaylatorch bahh wonder why they stopped the show ty
