Thank you for the good video. It was kinda funny. He didn't pre-drill the holes into the stud, but still got lucky and they didn't seem to split. And calling a Phillips screwdriver a star screwdriver was a super n00b thing to say.
To find a stud, start knocking on the wall. When the knock changes to a more deeper/solid tone, that is your stud. To locate for sure, take a small finish nail and drive it in at the bottom of wall, just above baseboard. If a stud is present, then the nail will have resistance to being driven. Now measure over 24" (for interior walls) and locate next needed stud. If mounting on exterior walls or load bearing walls, studs are located 16" apart. Locating studs this ways beats the mess & patch work required for drilling nilly willy into a wall trying to locate studs. The way the "Review King" is locating studs IS NOT the way to do it.
@@ReviewKingHQ I got a stud finder that detect metal now...too late tho. I should have stopped drilling when I hit the pipe. I now know that a pipe is harder to drill than wood! I forced it and my living room got drenched before I shut the water off.
That's why you buy a good Stud finder. The best one would have edge option! that will actually show you the edge of the stud!! $10 stud finders will not do anything...
I’m not gonna lie and say I’ve never blindly looked for a stud and put a bunch of wholes in the wall, but I probably wouldn’t do it on my video 😂. Thanks for the video though!!
Got it for $35. In process of installing 65" TV but I don't have help. Installed the brackets on the TV and will put the mount on the wall and will wait for husby to help me put the TV on the mount.
I actually ran into a problem. Attempted to install this above fireplace add we do not use it. The studs are 30" apart so this mount will not work. Thank you for responding. Im not returning it. I'm sure I can use this in one of our bedrooms.
You prolly dont give a shit but if you're bored like me atm you can stream pretty much all the new movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my gf during the lockdown :)
@@ReviewKingHQ Super. I will buy it too. I don't think I need to buy something more expensive, I heard that it has good reviews. I want to install a 2500 euro OLED. I take the model that can withstand up to 60 kg, even though the model has 23 kg, but to be sure there are no problems.
Dude if you cannot post how to properly install something don’t do it at all you’re literally gonna have somebody driving into a fucking pipe or an electrical wire

Thank you so very much for taking the time to make this video. I am going to mount my tv soon and needed some advice😊
I once drilled into the drywall and hit a copper water pipe I thought was a stud...water shot out and nearly blew me away!

Great product...but a ridiculous way to search for a stud! There could be water/gas pipes or electric cables behind there too...

Totally agree , a small thin screwdriver / pincer and gently tap in with a hammer
Why not use a stud finder? Wouldn't that be faster and less damage to the walls?

Who signed off on this guy's channel name review king... For real someone needs to revoke his tittle
Great explanation on mount . Thanks
I got a 70-in it's heavy only two screws in the stud The rest are toggle bolts. I hope it goes well
Screws? Or lag bolts the big solid screws?
Great video. I’m ready to tackle this nightmare
Andy my man, way to go. Keep up the reviews.
Thanks for the review I was worrisome about setting this up, side note, is that a faux fireplace? Where’s it from!!?
Why not pre drill the wholes for the lag bolts so you don't hold the mount so long?
Good idea!

DO YOU RECOMMEND IT?
@@supermeseriasu I do. No issues at all.
Great vid,,but the background music??
Nice!
Awesome install video!
16" on center
Damn the steak knife box open 🔥
Great video!
Easy buy a stud finder
So you don't really need a drill/impact tool to install this?
No you can install without impact as long as you have proper tools (wrench or ratchet)
How rigid is this bracket once tv is on? Tried another one from Amazon but found it to be too flimsy
@@ReviewKingHQ thanks for your assistance in the matter
Very helpful video 👍
Perfect for that spot!

Knock with knuckles not the side of your hand
Just use a magnet to find the stud. Jeez
DO YOU STILL RECOMMEND IT?
Yah it’s definitely a solid mount. Still using it today
